    Do you hope the move graphics for the moves that existed in Gen III will look similar to the originals but with the new graphics, or do you hope they'll stay the way they are in XY. Remakes tend to have graphics similar to the originals for example Psychic in HGSS looks similar to Psychic did in Gen II more so than it did in DP.
     
    Ah, the 3D models are good enough for now. I really don't have much of an opinion on RSE graphics, but they were the first to use backgrounds, so it would be interesting to see stuff like Leaf Blade and Steel Wing in RSE. But, for the most part, no change necessary.
     
    Aaaah, I think it would be a neat detail if they kept the general style of the attacks similar to how they were in RSE. It would be nice to see them reference the original games, and also to see something different from how the attacks looked in X and Y. If they're kept the same then I won't really mind, but it's always neat to see something new.
     
    I think it would depend on if we went back to sprites or not. If we go back to sprites I want them to be the same as in the originals just with better graphics. If we stick to models though then I'd rather they update them from XY and give them their own unique looks.
     
    They might resemble ones from gen three, while still keeping some look from X and Y. :] Omega Ruby and Aqua Sapphire graphics are based off these games, so, yeah. Either way, though, I definitely wouldn't be bothered how these animations wind up looking; all that matters to me is how good they actually look when battling.
     
    It would be pretty rad if they could find a way to render the generation 3 move animations into 3D almost exactly as they were in the previous graphic style. Probably not plausible, but an intriguing idea, and a nostalgic one. The Surf animation is one of my favorites from RSE, haha. Hopefully, they can make them resemble the originals animations a bit, for effect.
     
    I'd love it if the remade the Gen III battle animations in 3D, but I think they'd just reuse the battle animations from X/Y... I don't think they've ever changed the look of all their moves before a Gen has changed...
     
    Each generation uses it's own style and I'm intrigued by what they will do in the remakes. Maybe combine a Little of XY and remake some of the move graphics from r/s/e.

    I think they'll most likely keep the animations from X and Y. The only time I could ever recall some moves changing animations in the same generation were from Platinum to HG/SS and B/W to B2/W2.
     
    It would be kinda nostalgic and awesome if the graphics get updated! But I really don't mind if they use the XY ones other than make new ones for ORAS :3
     
    One thing which bugged me A LOT about some of the XY move animations was that "lag".

    Take Draco Meteor for example,



    The meteors have already struck, and that Spinda is still dancing about. It only shows signs of being hit after the animation is gone. There are also some other moves with this similar issue.

    Hopefully they'll fix it in ORAS.

    Actually some of the move animations between the Hoenn games and the Kanto remakes were different. Irc Psychic was one of them. And Psybeam. For some reason I remember the psychic type moves being different the most between games...

    Yes, I kinda hate how those special cinematics take too long and severely cuts the FPS of the game, making it laggy and such. Yeah, I agree with you that the lag should be fixed.
     
    I'm hoping they make Leaf Blade look closer to how it looked in 3rd Gen but apart from that I think I'm satisfied with all the other animations :) Leaf Blade only really stands out to me cause it was my favourite 3rd Generation move :)
     
    I don't see them changing the animations too much from X and Y, when we had sprites they used to change them for every game, even in the same generation, now that we have 3D models they're going to use all the same models from X and Y(I guess), so I don't see the attacks animations changing either.

    I hope they do as the lagginess of XY was one of the things I disliked about them (the others were small number of Pokemon, and a gulf in the plot of the game while others didn't have such long awkward pauses in plot (it's at it's worst after the early imo, downfall of Lysander)).

    I know they're models but I would like it if they changed some of them up for these games and 'Z'. It'll get old real fast between the games if it's always the same models.
