Hello! I have been working on a hack of Pokemon Fire Red for about a year now. I have created several versions in which I added various maps, Pokemon, moves, etc, whenever I came up with a new idea. However, my most recent version has a significant problem. When I finished working on it and loaded the game, everything worked fine except that the moves no longer deal damage how they're supposed to. Every move deals 1 damage normally, 2 if super effective, and slightly more if stats are raised or if there is a critical hit. Status conditions still work fine. The only thing I could think of that would have caused this is that perhaps their was an error when I exported and reimported the move table with PGE's attack editor. I am completely at a loss on how to fix this problem. I would appreciate any insight into how I could attempt to fix this. Thanks!

PGE may have overwritten some offset or something, as it is quite unstable. Though I do not know how the Table itself is structured, I can guess that when you exported/imported the table, the actual damage and critical hit ratios were disrupted. Even if you dive deep into the ROM using a Hex Editor, it may be hard to fix it. I am not entirely sure as to why and how this happened, but I advise you to start from a backup.

Thank you for the advice! I figured that would probably be what I would have to do, but I was just curious if there may be a quicker fix. Oh, well.
