Editor's Note: Because of the extensive time and effort needed to edit the PokeCommunity Podcast, this week's podcast release has been delayed to a future date.

Ah, spring time. That glorious time of the year when the weather finally starts to take a turn for the better, college semesters are nearing their end, and most importantly, when everyone starts to work on their beach bods after prolonging it for winter's entirety. But I digress, I wouldn't say that's the main reason why I'm pretty pumped about this spring's upcoming. The main reason why is because we have hit that time of the year when my local movie drive-in is open for business. Yes, you didn't read that incorrectly: I've got a movie drive-in in my town. It's a place where, if you've never heard of one before, you are able to watch movies in the luxurious location of the backseat of your car under the starry night - a prime hot spot if you are thinking of taking a young lass on a romantic date. And the best part about all of this? I work at this amazing place!

    Spoiler:
The move drive-in in which I have currently been working at for the past 5 seasons - which equates to roughly 5 years - has been able to stand the test of time, initially opening in 1957 and being family owned for over 6 decades now. In fact the remarkable thing about drive-ins is that although they were quite popular back in the day, there are only roughly around 200 of them left in the country, and our drive-in ranks third in the country sales wise. Now you may be thinking to yourselves "gosh it must be quite expensive to go there if it's ranked third sales wise," but in actuality, it's quite the opposite. It costs $25 for each car to be admitted into the venue, and while that may look expensive at first look, if you go with four other friends than you are only paying $5 for two movies. That's right: two movies. The way our drive-in works is that it showcases four movies in total, 2 on each of the screens per night. For instance, this weekend we are playing Captain America and The Amazing Spiderman 2 on Screen 1, while on Screen 2 we are playing Neighbors and Non-Stop. And if you don't like the second movie that's playing, you're more than welcome to change screens once the intermissions hit. It's a great deal in all honesty.

    Spoiler:
As stated prior, I've been working at this drive-in for roughly 5 seasons now. While there are many perks to it - for one thing, I get to watch free movies whenever I want to and have free admittance into the venue on my days off - I think my favorite aspect of the drive-in is the family setting that is fosters. You'll see families bring their young ones there, as well as see their dogs running around happily in the open space between the cars. Furthermore, my bosses are quite amazing: considering they've been running the business since the 50's now, they essentially just want to have as much fun with the drive-in while they still can. That's why sometimes we'll host "throw back" nights, where we'll host a slew of movies from the vault. For instance last season we had a night where we played Grease and Ferris Buelher's Day Off on one screen and Back To The Future and Jaws on the other. Seeing those movies on the big screen - I sometimes will take a hand held radio and just sit on the roof of the diner and watch them from there - is quite a surreal experience.

    Spoiler:
Now avid readers of this blog may have caught onto this, but some of you may be asking yourselves "but Matt, don't you work at Dunkin Donuts?" The simple answer is yes, I do; I actually work two jobs. I'll work at DD in the morning, and then rush over to the drive in at night. That's usually how my weekends work for me. Yes, it's a little bit of a viscous cycle - my sleeping schedule on the weekends is completely out of wack because of it - but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. The pay is good, and I actually need the money considering my spending habits are really bad. These are only part time jobs though, as I'm currently in college studying for a better career, but these are good customer service jobs to show on my resume later on that I'm able to work well with people (as I'm currently going into the Human Services major.)

Have you ever been to a movie drive-in before? Do you think you'd ever want to go to one? If so, what movie would you like to see at one? Comment below as I'd love to hear and discuss with you what you have to say about this topic!
