I've always thought what could be so important that Mr. Backlot would keep it a secret from visiting trainers. I mean its obviously more valuable that his statue, *coughwhichcanbefoundinanygymcough* but what could that be? I had a thought once that Nintendo and Game Freak have some sort of event back there but using walk through walls reveals that there is nothing in the programing behind the door. So my question is this: What do YOU think is in those guarded rooms? Just don't post anything inapropriate.

I think that he's hiding his riches or the so-called prized Pokemon that swarm his garden. (Although Porygon was a good swarm)

I really think that Game Freak didn't know what to put or scrapped an old idea but didn't want to leave the mansion with one hall, so they just did that.

In-game, though, it might just be the Pokémon that "swarm" in his garden.

It's a very special statue, holding an extremely rare item which unlocks a secret Pokemon! >.> Why else would he have a guard there almost for 24 hours a day?? xD

I personally think it's just the Pokemon. Otherwise why would he be in such a exclaimed state everytime you were told which Pokemon were in the garden and seem annoyed that someone might catch them.

How do you know that it's a Pokemon, if you don't even know what really there is?

It's where he keeps his massive stash of...
Oh, you said nothing inappropriate. ****!

My guess... It's just the rest of his house. And he doesn't want filthy travellers to get it dirty (I know that goes against the rules of RPG games where you can freely enter anyone's house, but whatever).

I think that the whole mansion is just nothing. Nothing is significant, except the swarms of pokemon.

The statue is of a Dragonite. Maybe it's one of the ones from Pokemon FR/LG/R/B/Y/G? Or an Elite 4 statue?

I think it is some sort of pokemon creating machine. Mr. Backlot is a compulsive liar which comes through his need to impress everyone (probably neglected as a child). So when he says "A cute eyed *insert pokemon*" and then his butler says "that pokemon doesn't exist in the garden" he tells him to go make some quick and thats where the butler runs off to.

I think it's a statue from the old chateau. (As mentioned in the Old Chateau thread) Because theres one statue on the left, but not one on the right.

i have always wondered this as well...its very odd that the two rooms at the ends of the hall would be guarded (by maids no less!) and to have a security guard guarding that statue? also, there ARE three guards patroling the grounds in front of the mansion...SOMETHING must be up!

After reading 5 pages of the Old Chateau thread, I'm officialy regretting catching some Pokemon in Backlot's garden. Although its only theories, it does make since. However, it could just be the Pokemon/Pokemon Creating Machine or his treasure. A friend of mine once had a theory but it was way too inappropriate. But if you want to know, PM me.

About the Statues, (yes, I know Angel Shaymin already said something about it) maybe they're a gift from one of the Gyms for making a donation or something.
Angel's theory sounds more likely though.

Never doubt the power of the maid. It is quite unwise.

Aw, c'mon. Don't say things like that. My innate curiosity begs me to ask.

There isn't anything programmed, no warps programmed for those doors or anything, so he's literally hiding nothing.

On a more creative approach, maybe he has a bunch of Pokemon caged up and he releases them in his garden every time you talk to him.

That's pretty much what everyone thinks. I mean when you actually think about the little chat that goes on between them, it seems obvious. Although for some reason, once the butler didn't walk back after I left the room, but instead went in one of the bedrooms. He said that he was "taking care of something" and that there really were Porygon in the garden.

That would make more sense. Atleast then, a 10 year old has no chance of knocking them out and sneaking in. I'm still waiting for that thieveing liar to put Porygon in there again. And how about donating some of that money to charity huh Backlot?

    hmmmm

hes obviously hiding a action replay cuz he doesnt want ppl to know he used a item duplication code thing on nuggets and sold them all
