I love red, but I love playing red in unique ways. Here's my favorite of those ways so far.

    -26- Creatures

    -4- Heartlash Cinder
    -4- Boggart Ram-Gang
    -4- Ashenmoor Gouger
    -4- Ember Hauler
    -4- Hearthfire Goblin
    -4- Nobilis of War
    -2- Cyclops Gladiator

    -10- Other Spells

    -4- Fiery Bombardment
    -4- Lightning Bolt
    -2- Koth of the Hammer

    -24- Lands

    -4- Teetering Peaks
    -20- Mountain

The landbase could use either less land or more fetches, not sure.

The concept is simple; turn dudes sideways. A surprise Heartlash Cinder will always be a removal target, as that guy can come out of nowhere for explosive amounts of damage. I really like the 3-drops from the Shadowmoor block that I've put in here, and while I like Demigod and Deus, Nobilis is the cheap Avatar, and he's still a lot of fun.

Let me know what you think! =)

    Cyclops Gladiator seems random.

Could probably use more fetches, though definitely not less land; you're playing 5-mana guys, and you don't want to be too short on lands.

I'm sort of surprised at Koth, but I guess he works (good in most Red-based decks, if only for the 4/4 bash or the mountain untap, and if his ultimate goes off it means you basically win).

Cyclops Gladiator is triple-red, so he's a Bolt off Bombardment and he fuels Heartlash Cinders.

Koth just...is. I have two now, and I've never been disappointed resolving him with even one Mountain on board.

Well, yes... but my comment was that he didn't really do anything specific. : s Not necessarily the worst choice, but probably not the best either.

Koth is "2 turns, I win", so he's totally warranted.

To be honest, I'd run 2 more Koth if I had them. As is, I'm using a strong, color-intensive alternative.

Gladiators break Walls pretty nicely, I heard.
