Multiple starter Pokemon

I can't choose between Litten and Popplio, so I've decided I'm just going to transfer one and start with both, would I be able to transfer the start from one game to another immediately or would I need to play a bit of the game first to get the Z power crystal or whatever, thanks.

As far as I know, I don't think you get the Z crystal immediately upon receiving your starter. But then again, I don't have the games yet, so yeah.

No, you don't get the specific Z crystal for your starter until a while into the game.
As for the other 2 starters' Z crystals (The 2 that you never picked), their crystals are only given to you by Hau after you've beaten the league.
