A change of pace is nice, we don't know how big exactly the difference would be between USUM and SM, so every little counts I guess. One may argue that the wild battle would feel too extreme during Route 1, but at least the song would still feel awesome at the post-Champion areas. I was thinking that the wild battle theme might replacing the totem Pokemon theme, as it sound too much for a lvl 2 Pikipek Route 1, but it was indeed the wild battle theme.
With the new poster revealed and it has a dark and serious tone in it, and the music was "remixed" into sounded something powerful and challenging, is it a hint that USUM would actually going for a more mature approach? We were like only into the trainer and wild battle themes, but the intensity is really huge compared to SM. For me, this is like BW2, where Neo Team Plasma suddenly had their theme sound so freakin badass (but the original Team Plasma also had their own unique taste in it...)
If GF can produce such intensity remixes, then I would definitely like to hear more of them. Or better yet, just freaking do a special battle theme for Trial Captains already, for goddamn sake. Now that I think of it, this new trainer battle theme would make the Trial Captain battle sounded more serious, but please just... do another music just for them please?
