    Title says it all!

    Im sure there are some musicians on this forum, so tell us a little bit about yourselves! What do you play? How long? Favourite kinds of music? You get the idea.

    Myself, I'm a guitarist and have been so for around 6 years.

    I started off playing 2 years of classical before moving on to electric, and I've had school/private tuition for all 6 years.

    Gear wise, I have waaayy too much, so i'll just list the main gear for anyone who understands/cares :P

    Guitars: Gibson Les Paul Studio, Jackson DK2M, Fender FR-50

    Amps: Marshall DSL401 (Limited Edition blue tolex/elephant grill cloth), Epiphone Valve junior head, Marshall 1x12 cab.

    Iv got a few effects lying around too, wah, delay, compression... You get the idea. :)

    When it comes to music I'm a bit of an elitist. Anything thats manufactured or unoriginal generally gets hated by me. Band wise, theres too many to list, so i'll name a few genres:
    -Prog
    -Metal
    -Rock
    -Funk
    -Jazz
    -Blues

    Etc... I'll listen to anything!

    So then, over to you, PC musicians!
     
    I play the piano and I've been playing it for about 5 years. I mostly play Chopin and Rachmaninoff but I also like playing Liszt and Beethoven. I play bits of other stuff too though.

    I havn't really got a wide knowledge of classical music, but Moonlight Sonata has to be one of my all time favourite peices. :P
     
    I've been playing the drums for about...5 years. I only play it in my school band though so I play all boring songs. Except last year I played Smoke on The Water and Rocky

    I've been going to a music school since I was.. ten?
    I played the violin first. But I didn't liked it at all =D

    Then I switched over to saxophone. Woohoo o.o

    I'm also playing the guitar. The non-electric version.
    Buuutt I'm not going to any music school for that one. I just like to chill
    and bring up some tones when I'm lonely or something like that. :3
     
    I play the flute, but I'm darn terrible at it.

    I prefer to sing, over anything else. One of my favorite pieces is the Battle Hymn of the Republic, and The Sally Gardens.

    I used to be pretty good at piano, but I quit because I wasn't interested in it, and now I can't play at all, and I'm trying to re-teach myself, but let's just say I still don't have much interest in piano. xD And playing the piano in the presence of others is just something excruciating for me. I can't stand it. xD;;

    The only private lessons I've taken are for piano and flute. I don't like to sing by myself, because it's no fun. xD
     
    I sing. I've done it for like, forever. :3
    I do play the drums too, since I was in 1st grade, but I prefer singing.
    I'm also now learning piano.
    Oh yeah, and I compose songs on the computer.
     
    I be a guitarist. I've been playing for six years.
    I'm now in a Thrash Metal band, where I am a lead guitarist and I do the screaming.

    My equipment:
    - Epiphone SG, [red] (my baby)
    - Marshall [60 Watt] TSL60 amp
    - Schecter: Synyster Custom. [Recently bought.]
    - Metal Master: Distortion Pedal.
     
    im a synthesizist/piano player. I compose music with my synthesizer using CakeWalk
     
    I play the flute, and I play piano just for the heck of it. I'm 1st chair flute in my school, and piano is just something I do for fun. I know a lot of songs on the flute, and then I know Minuet, Joy to the World, some of Fur Elise, and... oh gosh, I don't know the name.. Piano sonata something xD?
     
    I can play the keyboard if that counts =D I consider my compositions music although many others generally do not agree.
     
    I am able to play guitar, only a little bit though.
    Along with that, I play bass every now and then, and usually I play drums at a friends house.
    Luckily I would not do the school orchestra stuff, I would rather be in an AlternativeRock band XD

    I love rock music because I get hyped up. I play in the school band with the trumpet. xD
     
    I'm pretty good at piano, but at the moment I'm learning violin and having more fun at it. The theory's so cool, +W+
     
    Guitar and Piano for me, I regret quitting Piano from a few years ago, Im taking it up again now but I had to start from scratch again -__-
     
    I've been playing guitar for about 1.5 years. Obviously I'm not terribly good, but I enjoy it. I use a Strat. I plan to start recording some post-rock/ambient/electronic-ish stuff soon.
     
    i play drums,piano,saxaphone,guitar, and synthesizer. I also rap and some singing, i've produced alot of songs lately and i'm working on a mixtape with other artists (still looking for female artists) i organize alot of mixtape related things. I'm more of a producer than anything else but i have played at a few shows and with decent turn out as well.
     
    :shocked: I just remembered: I used to play the organ.
