    So lately on netbattle I fiddled around with a Swift Swim Team... it went very well besides the no win 5 loss record (however besides how Venusaur swept 4 members of my team, I was pretty pleased already using a mostly UU team against freaky blisseys and Regi-trios with Slaking/Snorlax). I had a Seaking on my team because... personally I actually think that it's quite a neat Pokemon because no one else likes it at all and it doesn't look that ugly. Plus it does have Megahorn which is quite a powerful attack, so I tried to put this poor beast in use against evil evil enemies like Regis, Slakings and whatever.

    But there seems to be not much efficient ways to use this thing... I even setup rain dance to double the speed yet it never seems to be able to accomplish anything...

    Seaking- [atk + / sp.atk -] @ liechi berry
    EV: Atk and Spd = Swift Swim
    -megahorn
    -rain dance
    -HP Ground
    -return

    Well, with Megahorn being its strongest attack, I use it the most often but it tends to miss in the only 2 chance I got to use it. I do have HP Ground to try to defeat electric types (with rain dance speed boost) but then this is just so reliant on rain dance that it hurts. I never got to use the liechi berry because it can't take a hit (should have used choice band next time). So I was thinking... any suggestions to make Seaking a little more usable?
     
    I thought you were the pro at this, Frostweaver... if you don't know it, who would?
     
    If you use Choice Band, wouldn't that mean you can only use Rain Dance or whatever move you used first? Having to use Rain Dance over and over again wouldn't do any good...would it?
     
    Endure makes whatever berry useful :)

    Horn drill it learns. So does rest-sleep talk.

    maybe more Defense and no offense and rely on OHKO?

    Since my whole team in that situation is Swift Swim based, 3 member of my team can use Rain Dance. So I can let my other team members setup rain dance to let Seaking at an attempt to sweep

    Yes endure makes any berry useful... however Seaking doesn't learn it. Or else I'll be using endure/flail, megahorn and rain dance already instead of return. As for rest/sleep talk combo, when your defense at maximum is still less than 230, oh dear...?

    I wish that I am a pro at this bna_li, but very unfortunately I'm not... Kairi is a much better battler than me as she got a lot more experience (and I'm very new to netbattle myself, lacking actual battle experience). Mana Lugia even helps out with developing the netbattle program (saw his name in the credits) so certainly they're both way above me.
     
    hmm, I just checked dex, it does not learn it :( what a bother. Agility and Hyper beam? :s

    (And I didn't program the program. I aided with the bug finding and stuff :-x)

    EV splitted up is terrible... and Seaking's natural sp.att is just crappy. And being a swift swim team, there's tons of hydro pumper already. I did use Megahorn and HP Ground last night too but HP Ground didn't even knock out a Regirock with 12% hp left x.x

    to tell the truth i also only relied on frosty to help me with movesets. and just like bna_li said "if frosty cant do a good moveset then none of us can". im a bit dissapointed but.... :surprised

    oh well lets see hmm... a swift swim team and rain dance is already used by another pkmn.

    thats the best i could do but nothing can help this pothetic little thing.
     
    Maybe throw secret power in there somewhere? I think paralyzation helps OHKO anyways and it may buy you some time along with attract anyways. You need a lot of luck with it though. Its at least one way to work around the bad defenses.
