I Made this in Maya and rendered it using Mental Ray with some Final Gather settings.
(for anyone that uses this sorta software)

I made the render look funky with some editting in Photoshop

i can render out a big version for anyone that wants to use it as a wallpaper.
im using the non-photoshopped one as my wallpaper. looks sweet.

just give me ur desired resolution if you want it.

It looks perfect, in my opinion. I have no idea what Maya is. XD

Wow, that looks awesome! I really suck at using that kind of software...

heheh, so did i about 1 and a half years ago i had no idea.

i opened up the program and blankly looked at the screen.
but ive been using "3D Studio Max" and "Maya" at uni for the past year and a half.
im hoping to be a professional 3D artist or something.

The only issue i have is that the band around the middle seems a little too thin. that said though i would like one wallpaper size(if I remember right my screen is 1024x768). also can you flip the image so it faces the other direction?

The band encircling the middle and the 'button' both look too small, and the pink bits are a tad too bulbous. Also, the light above the center makes it look like the area immediately above the button is protruding slightly. All of this being said, you really aren't bad, you just need to work on it a little more. The pedestal that you've placed it upon looks great, and the reflection is absolutely splendid. The Poke Ball in the background adds a little bit of character. Work at this some more and I'll be very interested in seeing what you can do.

EDIT: Oh, and additional compliments on not ****ing up your light source.

One more thing that my stupid self forgot: The PS render is very, very nice (aside from the aforementioned proportional problem). It looks like something that you'd exepct to see in a DC Pokemon comic (if such a thing existed). It is very, very wicked, and the 2D conversion eliminates the problem with the light above the button.

thanks for the feedback Chronic. (and anyone else that wants to put anything on the table)

dont think ill work on this anymore. but ill definately take ur advice in for any future pieces i decide to make.

    :)

Haha 3d? Thats really awesome. I really get the feeling that its..."coming out of my screen" lol
I actually really like it and I love how you made it look so err..majestic :)
    keep up the good work.

You did a very good job with this, I must say - however, my only complaint is that the button on the outside of the MasterBall looks too small. Of course, that isn't a huge problem and it does look very good overall. Nice work! ^^

Good! That's a very good job! My bro is a very good skilled 3d-designer but, sadly, his computer has not enough power to do a Mental Ray render, hahaha.

    Wow, that's really good. :D

You better keep that Master Ball secure, I might just "borrow" it to capture Arceus. ;o

the band and button look a bit small but its still awesome im just not happy that you beat me to it :D
