Okay so i got the courage to post some of my art
i have made and get some feed back on them.
I would like some constructive crit on them.​

Yeah I can see why you hate it. The shading is BADLY incomplete at the top and is completely noticeable. Everything else looks good. Oh yeah add more leaf ruffles on the top part of the trees! You should be good to go.

The head is too bright and there's no shading! Make the head and body same color.

Well, only 4 things show up for me.

1st of which is your PokeCenter. It's horrid, it's shading is disgusting, and it is way to dark.

2nd is the Gengar avi, very nice, not C&C.

3rd, your animation. Considering you didn't make it, but just animated it, I'd say it shows no skill.

4th is your egg, it is the wrong shaped for a D/P/Pt egg, and lacks shading. Plus it appears as if the parts were just pasted on in a rush, and no care was taken.

Poke center was made for another hack and they wanted it like that, Which animation? Lucas animation is bad i know i used gif, But for cyrus i used gimp. Pokemon egg came from this tut,

What are these? They aren't scratch, I've seen those poses before. And if I'm not mistaken, most of these are just crops of the D/P backsprites. Though I think you did something to the non-evolved pokemon, as their outlines and shading are messed up. In fact, I don't think turtwig has any shading on its head anymore.

One thing I notice almost immediately is the leaf. Straight lines? No. Just.. no. Your outline is still mostly black, which is another big no-no. Then you have a few spots where the outline just disappears for a pixel or two. The shading overall isn't smooth or realistic, and, in my opinion, should just be scrapped and completely re-done. Also, you have two stray pixels floating around outside the sprite, and there is a very large, irregular white space around it, which just makes you seem sloppy and uncaring. No, it has nothing to do with spriting, but it's just something that annoys me and makes me think people don't care about how their spriting is.

JPEG. No. Again, sloppy. Also, they seem off-center. Why does one side have a little strip of rocks(?) on the edge, and the other doesn't?

You edited a pokemon center to be gray, and messed up the outlines? Why? How is this revamped? It's not an improvement, and this isn't any style I've ever seen.

Frankly, I hate it too. You took a perfectly good tree, and messed up the shading, colors, and outlines. I don't even know HOW you did that. It has random dots of color thrown around in it, it's asymmetrical, there's a random rectangle in the top layer of branches. Again, I must ask: Why?

Banners and avatars aren't sprites, and don't go in this forum, and therefore, shouldn't be in this thread.

First off, that looks nothing like a Lucario. Second, these are awful. The shading is wrong, the outlines are wrong... everything is wrong. Eggs shouldn't have body parts of the ADULT pokemon on them. Or any body parts at all, for that matter. It's an EGG. So unless you want to crack it and have baby parts sticking out, like a togepi, then these make no sense at all. And if you're going to make eggs, why use THAT egg? It's leaning in an awkward position, and you have regular egg sprites you could use. Anyway, Lucario's egg has the same red/pink outline the exeggcute had. The body parts look blurry, and they aren't even put on well. Darkrai... first of all, it has no outline. Secondly, the parts are JPEG'd. Wh-- how do you even DO that? It's like you actually went out of your way to make it wrong.

I'm seriously unsure HOW you made most of these errors. Just.. DON'T do what you're doing now, is the best advice I can give you. I'm in shock over the tree and darkrai egg. I really am.

Your pokemon are pretty good as far as I can tell...except for the chimchar and torterra... and chikorita. Shading and outlining issues on those. With chikorita, if you're going to go bright, you'll want to make more of the underside of the body bright. o-o As for your tiles, I'm not really a tiler myself, but it seems that the pokemon center roof should be the highlighted color. It seems a little dull to me. As for Lucas, you animated him wrong. o_o

Nicely done. The eggs need a bit of work IMO. They seem a little wopsided and don't look natural. The other revamps seem fairly nice. Keep up the good spriting. The tiles look fairly nice as well...... they seem flat though.

I haven't done any work in some time now.... But anyways i decided to rip some sprites
from heart gold and soul silver.

I cleaned them up a little.... Tell me what you think.

thats really good, i like the tiles and the pokecentre.

the Lucacrio egg doesnt look like its been lined up properly
and the colours dont seem to match all the way through, but mabye thats just the picture

but right now only me and trebuh may use them.

The only thing i did to this pichu is give him a notched ear like the one in HG/SS.

The wooper/quagsire/mew/two revamps are really not revamps... you need to readjust their outlining and shading to the current styles... right now they are just essentially recolors... the outlines touching the light parts should be darker tones of the light parts...

there are also horrible little red pixels all over the place! They have infestated your revamps! They form clumps in the outlines... fill in where there should be coloration... that's not very professional looking... or even pleasing to the eye... fix those things up and your revamps will look better! (Bellsprout line looks really good, just fix the outlining!)

Pichu looks great! You seemed to do that one nice, in my opinnion...

The rips are alright... i guess... they appear to be in form ^_^

Anyhow, keep it up...

honestly your sprites need a lot of work.

your revamps, if they can even be called that, are not even close to what a revamp should be. do you even know what a revamp is? your suppossed to make the old sprites look new, which you obviously are not doing in the least bit. try reworking the outline first then add some new shades.

Just a question but why are some badly resized sprites in your scratch section, they are obviously not scratched so you might want to change that.

now lets talk about your beautiful eggs. now do you even know how to shade? cause if you do your not showing it. and if your going to do an egg with d/p/pt pokemon youldnt it be smart to use a d/p/pt egg not a fr/lg one. check a good tutorial to learn how to shade.

now about your rips, maybe you dont realize this but silver sprite the gold backsprite the elm overworld and the pokeball holder are all unusable. the are all in a jpg like quality and therefore there was no point for you to rip them if they cant be used in any way.

finally work on your overall attitude in here. you ask for crit but you dont even take anything into consideration or acknowledge it. honestly if i were you id get this thread closed and start posting my sprites in the discussion thread cause you need help. and honestly if you ignore this you just prove my point.

you sure have been on alot...but why havent you posted...are you helping me prove my point, aw thats so nice of you
