I'd study proportions a bit more ^^ Look at the relative sizes of the head, feet etc and this will help you to draw it more like the original. Good job for giving it a go though, I think you should keep going :D It's great to see more people doing art! *hugs*

Yeah! like say it FG, learn the proportion of the character than you wish draw is important, and also has the advantage than if you know really good the proportion you will be capable of create your own poses. A important thing for get the right proportion is now than the head is construted around a sphere, and the proportion is based in that sphere... if you check in mew the proportion of the body is almost 2 times the diameter of the head's sphere, and the basic shape of the body is like a drop shape... I recommend than take medition before try it again... I'm sure than in the next drawing you will going to improve
