    I spent about three hours pounding this out, and I like it quite a bit. Therefore, it became my avatar. This is the image normal sized, with all of the details much more visible.

    My only problem is the front of her face. It seems too...plain. There's no shading to go there, nothing to really liven that part up, but it seems too clean almost. I also kinda failed at the "shiny shadow" thing under her paw...I need to figure out how to make that effect work on areas of big shading. I guess that's two problems. Ah well.

    Woah! That's awesome! Latias is listening to music!! =DDDD

    I really like your coloring too! But maybe... yeah more shading in the red. And for the shading in the whites, use light gray? oo;

    I think it's fine. I like Latias.

    Gracias. I like Latias as well. Which is good, because if I didn't this thread would instantly become a paradox.

    9000 points to whoever can guess what she's listening to! (lol j/k) I was actually going to have her bob her head a little, but the image got more detailed than I expected and it would be far too time consuming to do another image necessary for the animation. (Her feathers were also going to cycle through colors with each beat...but that's really pushing it)

    Anyways, I glanced at some of the official art for Latias, and they had just a tad of glow effect right on the tip of her nose. I might do that to help the face not look so flat. I could also make the white segments just the slightest shade of gray, and then make the parts I need lighter white, as you said.

    I could also take a soft brush and add a little bit of a pearlescent effect to the red and white parts: I'd basically go ever so slightly darker and scribble over the areas. This same concept is what I did for the shading (albeit with much darker colors), and it's most prominent on the claws and headphones. It adds just a hint of effect, and I think it looks cool.

    EDIT: I just couldn't stay away from this pic tonight. I added some shading around the headphones and claws that I missed, and also added a gleam on Latias' forehead and that pearlescent effect I mentioned (it's really subtle: you may not even see it unless you move to the side of your monitor and view from an angle). I present to you my full-sized avatar, revision 1!

    That's really cool~ 8D

    I really like the shading on the second one you posted, it makes it look much better. The thick lineart definitely adds to the picture, I think.

    good work <3
