Hello again below is my first real attempt at creating a decent OU team, i created a team before which had a mixture of OU/UU pokemon which had alot of things that could be heavily critisised so i decided to scrap it completely.

    My First OU Team:

    Infernape @ Focus Sash (lead)
    Blaze
    Naive
    252 SpAtk / 192 Spe / 64 Atk
    Close Combat
    Fire Blast
    Fake out
    Stealth Rock

I have tested this a few times and i have also heard how successful it can be from a few others, general tactic seems straight forward, Fake out to ruin opponents focus sash then set up your stealth rock, after being hit Blaze will activate for an even more powerful fire blast, Close combat is there as another powerful stab move.

    Tyranitar @leftovers
    Ability: Sand Stream
    EVs: 252 HP/64 Atk/24 Spd/168 SAtk
    Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Substitute
    - Focus Punch
    - Ice Beam
    - Dark Pulse

Standard TyraniBoah from Smogon, have not had much of a chance to use this badboy yet but i've seen the damage it can do. Ice beam strictly because i have no other ice attacks for Dragon types.

    Scizor
    Adamant @ choice band
    248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
    ~ U-turn / X-Scissor
    ~ Bullet Punch
    ~ Superpower / Brick Break
    ~ Pursuit

Standard Choice Band Scizor set from Smogon. Again i havent had chance to test this guy really but i have a personal love for this pokemon so it just seemed like a must.

    Gengar@ Choice Specs
    Timid
    4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    ~ Energy Ball
    ~ Shadow Ball
    ~ Thunderbolt
    ~ Focus Blast

I mainly chose Gengar as it also is a personal favourite and it has always worked well for me, its fast, hits hard and can be brought in on an earthquake or a fighting move.
I personally chose to use Energy Ball due to the lack of grass moves on my team.

    Bronzong@leftovers
    252 HP / 152 Atk / 8 Def / 96 SpD
    0 ivs in speed
    ~ Trick Room
    ~ Earthquake
    ~ Gyro Ball
    ~ Explosion

A neccesary pokemon for my team as it helps to wall, it hits fairly hard (especially with Gyro ball) can use trick room to give itself, Scizor and Tyranitar a speed boost if needed and can also go out with a huge bang with explosion. Earthquake to unsuspecting fires.

    Gyarados@Life Orb
    Adamant 252hp 252att 4hp
    ~ Dragon Dance
    ~ Waterfall
    ~ Stone Edge
    ~ Earthquake

I have noticed alot of hype around this guy so i thought i would make my own to cause some chaos

Please suggest ways forward as i am still rather unexperianced.

(I have also posted this team on pokemonelite2000 forums)

    Thanks in advance

This team definitely doesn't need trick room. In fact, it hurts you more than it helps you. Scizor relies mostly on priority with bullet punch and scouting with U-turn, both of which don't need trick room. Yeah, Boah gets an advantage, but the rest of your team relies heavily on speed. Gyrados and Gengar would become useless. A standard walling Bronzong would be much more helpful to your team.

Watch out for DD Gyrados, who outspeeds your whole team after one DD. You won't be able to do much after, as you have no real way to revenge it. Same thing with Mence, although Scizor helps out somewhat.

I don't see many glaring weaknesses though. Not bad overall.

If that is the team I have to say that Swords Dance Lucario you from many problems, also Calmcune with Hidden Power Elettric you from a lot of bother, replace your Gyarados with a DDKingdra.

thats a good team , but like what aura said , you dont need trick room , and most of your pokemon are fast .

    for your scizor :

    U-Turn > X-Scissor , never ever use X-Scissor on scizor

Brick Break > Superpower , if you really hate screens , then Brick break is your choice

Great! Thanks for the replies so far, i have scrapped trick room(it was just a filler move really wasnt sure what else to use) i have now replaced that with hypnosis.

Also just to comment on sebastians post, is DDkingdra a definate better option as far as my team is concerned? if so what moveset/nature/ability etc generally works best?

Scarf the Gengar to help with your Gyarados weak so you can revenge kill it. Will-o-Wisp >> Energy Ball to cripple Scizor, Tar, Meta, Jirachi etc switch ins.

Never liked Fake Out on lead apes, i prefer Encore since it allows it to come back later on and bully stuff like Calm Minders and you can still force most SR leads out, but eh sup to you.

Filler on Zong >> Trick Room you want Hypnosis or Trick (holding a Macho Brace)

thats a good team , but like what aura said , you dont need trick room , and most of your pokemon are fast .

    for your scizor :

    U-Turn > X-Scissor , never ever use X-Scissor on scizor

Brick Break > Superpower , if you really hate screens , then Brick break is your choice

How come you shouldnt use X-Scissor on scizor, I was thinking of using it on mine for STAB etc? Is it just not that useful or something?

Because on CB Scizor, U-Turn is simply superior as it lets you hit your incoming counter (think Heatran, Zapdos) for light damage and switch to your counter for those pokemon in one turn.

Again thanks for the responses, i have been pondering a while now about replacing a member of my team for a Zapdos(which again is a personal favourite from the originals), i thought about perhaps replacing Bronzong (it looks abit ugh and cool pokemon are generally a preference)with this build:

    Zapdos
    Timid@Life Orb
    4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    ~ Thunderbolt
    ~ Heat Wave
    ~ Hidden Power Grass
    ~ Roost

I realised that in replacing Bronzong i would lose some valuable walling abilities but the ground/steel typing attacks it has are of little benefit when i already had a Gyarados with Earthquake and a Scizor with Bullet punch, i also have a Gengar which can be brought in on EQ if it looks like it will be used. Zapdos will bring in HP Grass which will allow Gengar to replace his Energy Ball with Will O Wisp (as suggested by Dark_Azelf- Thankyou) and Heatwave can be used on the many troublesome Steels out there if my infernape is wiped out early on. Also thunderbolt will be there to deal with Bulky waters better than Gengar who's is mainly there to wipe out Gyarados as he will now be Choice Scarfed (also suggested by many of you, thanks again).

Then again i am rather unexperianced i am merely trying to make improvements and add favourites where i can that may be beneficial.

    Thanks again
