Okay, so this is my first team. Ever. (Competitive, of course) So, the descriptions might be a bit short, and the threat list very lacking, or non-existent. By the way, this team is competitive, but it will ingame, not on Netbattle/Shoddy. So moves like Hidden Power, and wish on Blissey (Since that's an event) aren't in it.

    That aside, here's the team:

    At a Glance:

    "image removed""image removed""image removed""image removed"*pokemonelite2000 image removed**pokemonelite2000 image removed*

General Strategy: Gengar is for either taking down starters that can't counter with Choice Scarf, or putting them asleep. Swampert sets up Stealth Rocks, while Blissey is the standard Cleric for the team. Vaporeon with Wish and Protect/Yawn is a good wall, with Weezing as a good counter for things like Heracross. Lucario is the main sweeper.

I Like more Specs version but fine(actually he can kill a Luke without Bullet Punch...)

You maybe will want E-speed intead Crunch but this also works... (I love Bullet Punch anyways...)
BulkyLuke. I love this set so much. Can get at least one SD in, maybe two, then sweeps.

Actually your team seems pretty good but take care of Mixape with GK,Overheat and Close Combat can really hurt. Anyways It's not a big deal...

    Nice Team.

id make Blissey a bit more sp.defensive

252 DEF / 216 SP.DEF / 40 HP @ Calm, takes special hits MUCH better and doesnt get 2HKO'D by specsGar. Run Thunderwave aswell, that way, luke can sweep teams much easier with Para support.

Bulky Lucario is just fail-ish, i tried it on shoddy recently, it just doesnt do much damage, nor can it take hits particularly well...... just run 252 ATT / 252 SPEED / 6 HP@Life Orb

I personally love this spread on weezing 196 HP / 252 DEF /60 SP.ATT, it generates max lefties recovers and can 2hko hera with Flamethrower, so you can drop fire Blast. Also maybe haze >>Will-o-wisp, since you lack a PHazer

    Other than that, very solid.

@Cloud_85, Vaporeon takes Mixape all day, Grass Knot is a base 60 power move on it, it doesnt even ohko even after a nasty Plot.

Also just watch out for Sub-Seed Breloom, it can out stall weezing all day long, but i guess you can kill it with Gengar ;)

Vaporeon can take a Grass Knot, as well as Blissey. I can see Close Combat as a problem... I did devise two "replacements". Well, I replace Blissey with a Gardevoir with Wish, and give Vaporeon Baton Pass and Substitute to help Lucario:

    Gardevoir @ leftovers
    Ability: Trace
    Nature: Modest
    Ev's: 252 hp, 48 special attack, 176 special defense, 32 speed
    ~ Wish
    ~ Will-o-Wisp / Thunderwave
    ~ Psychic
    ~ Focus Blast

    Vaporeon @ Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpA
    ~ Baton Pass
    ~ Surf
    ~ Ice Beam
    ~ Substitute

mixape cant particularly do anything to Vappy even with Close combat, you wish on the switch and then your fully healed with protect and all.

Wow, for my first team I guess it's pretty good! Thanks for the help, you two. I've made the changes.

So, should I start breeding and EV training this? Or is there anything else I can do? (I want it perfect before training it on my Diamond)

You could go with Starmie >> Vappy, if you need a spinner, seeing as you dont have one, but then you loose your wish support, so meh...

Well, I'm probably going to make the team in the first post, then train a Starmie, a Gardevoir, and the Subbing Vappy.

One of the better teams I've seen posted lately. also I'm liking the Advance Swampert sprite.

I will say that Tyranitar can give you a hard time, and if it can beat your prediction you're in trouble. Pretty solid, can't see any other huge weaks at the moment. I'd actually watch out for MixMence, as bad as it is it can KO a lot of stuff on this team and you really have a hard time with it.

MixPert and Vaporeon have Ice Beam. I'm pretty sure that Vaporeon can take a Salamence, maybe MixPert. Oh, thanks for the comment, too. I'm glad that this team is good. Also, could I give Blissey Ice Beam over Seismic Toss?

Also, should I have Surf or Hydro Pump on MixPert? My friend told me to use Surf because it has a better accuracy and more PP. (Since Pert will be in the battle for a bit, maybe more than 5 uses of Hydro Pump) But I'm not sure. Your thoughts?

    Nature: Bold

I actually prefer hydro pump on pert, it 2hko's Skarmory, Weezing, Forretress and most other physical walls stupidly coming in to try and wall you.

Yeah, sorry, the Weezing was a Gliscor before, but I changed it. I guess I forgot to change the EVs, nature, and ability...

I put in your suggestions. Thanks everyone!

My response the the question of "Should I replace Seismic Toss for Ice Beam on Blissey?"

    No.

Blissey doesn't even need Ice Beam anymore really, McGar is obsolete and dragons will either run at the sight of Blissey or are dragons Blissey has no business staying in on.

That's pretty much my reasoning. Considering when I used Ice Beam I never actually used it in a battle and never needed to, I'd say to axe it for something funner like Toxic which just plain rocks.

Without a solid Infernape counter you shouldn't be leading with Swampert. Vaporeon is your only answer against it, and he might suspect the switch, so he would Nasty Plot, and then your Vaporeon is finished. It's not a smart idea switching to something which is weak to the same attack, but it's not like you have any other choice. For that, I suggest you lead with Gengar so you could get an early Hypnosis in.

Choice Band Infernape with a +atk nature Close Combat does 54.94% - 65.65% to Vaporeon(after leftovers recovery). If that is the case weezeing can take it on if it don't got Flamethrower/Fire Blast.

scarf and hypnosis is fail. sure, putting fast pokemon to sleep is a big plus as they switch in, but why bother when you could just 2HKO them? gengar will be forced to switch out as will your opponent, which is just another guessing game.

it's a double gamble that should not be mixed.

gabriel: who said anything about choice band nape? o_O

Wow! man. nice team. I am too lazy to beat elite 4 in gba games. I can't migrate. Why? Tell me soon.

Wow! man. nice team. I am too lazy to beat elite 4 in gba games. I can't migrate. Why? Tell me soon.

    :/

Anyways, don't use Scarf Gengar, it is the epitome of worthless when you compare it to its other versions. If you insist on using it, please don't use Hypnosis. Sleep absorbers are common switches on Gengar anyways, what good will that do you being stuck on Hypnosis against their status or sleep absorber?

EDIT: Actually one of the only flaws on the team's construction.

No, Scarf Gengar is a great pokemon. How the hell is fast Hypnosis not good? Yea, so you sleep their Infernape and he's screwed. Then you can safe switch to Vaporeon, and your opponent won't even know your Gengar is Scarfed. Not to mention ScarfGar is the only ghost who doesn't fear Weavile / TTar.
