My Introduction (Grhaal)

Hello PokéCommunity! My Name is Grhaal.
I sometimes feel like an ambulant Bulbapedia when speaking of Pokémon games.
I found those forums a while back where I found many useful ROM-hacking programs (Notably HackMew's Advance Trainer and Xtreme Script Editor).

Last year at school I started designing new Pokémons with a friend, focusing on making unique types combinations, ones that were never made before.
I never knew I was about to make a full Pokémon game.

So now, I'm starting spriting, having ROM-hacking questions I can't find answers to, and I'm joining PokéCommunity just for that.

Welcome to PokeCommunity.
You'll feel at home with our Pixel Art sections located at the Art Gallery! If you have some sprites to show off, you can create a gallery of your own. But first you'll have to make at least 15 posts if you're planning to make a gallery. Just so you know in advance. :P At that section you'll be able to participate in several projects, or maybe make your own? There's also events to partake as well, so don't miss out!
Let me point you to the Emulation section, where it has all your ROM hacking needs! You can gather people to set up a team, find the tools you need, and get the advice you need in order to succeed in your new hack!

Hi there Grhaal. For some reason your name seems to scare me a bit. Kinda sounds like an evil overlord trying to turn everyone into slaves. Seems you already know a lot about rom hacking... Wish I was already that far. I'll see you around in the emulation forums then I guess! Have fun @ PC!

Welcome to the forums, Grhaal! You found yourself a great place to learn about ROM Hacking, PC is actually the biggest English ROM-Hacking forums in the web! I'm sure you will find all everything in the Emulation section for you to start out, I actually registered here too because I wanted to learn things in hacking, I've read all the tutorials and I found them all helpful as well as the tools made by our fellow members! I'm not that great yet, but feel free to ask me any questions about hacking if you want to! I'll try my best to reply as soon as possible. :D

In regards with spriting, well, I'm still not good at it, but you could ask for some help in the Pixel Art section under the Art Gallery, there are certain guidelines and tips there for you to make an awesome sprite. You could also ask the other members there for assistance. I'm also sure you will be able to enjoy the other boards around here, basically we also have off-topic discussions, so if you ever want to get away with Pokemon for just a second, then feel free to join and visit the boards usually at the bottom of the board!

Heheheh... welcome to the forums! Besides what you joined for (and Snivy063 has put it best when it comes to stuff for these), I think you should also give other forum sections a try, even if it seemed uninteresting or something! XD I think I tried a little bit of everything after a while not being active early in the year, and, well... I think I stuck around for a very long time now. Sometimes, things are not exactly where you expect it to be - and discovering things like that can be a fun experience, be it threads, members or anything else! Posting around will have its own benefits. XD If you have any questions, feel free to ask any staff member. May I suggest Meganium90 when you have the time?
