Ok, my sister has a 30G video iPod. But the sound doesn't work. The song will play, but no mater what headphones we use or how high the volume is, no sound comes out. I've tried restarting it, erasing everything on it and replacing it with new songs, and resetting all of the settings. But nothing works.

Do I need to send it to Apple to get repaired?

Yeah I have the same thing with my friends iPod.

I was gonna go see if I can take it to a Apple Store and see if they could fix it...I might go soon when I get money. My friend said its like $10 to fix it, hope hes right.

well, before you send it off, read this helpful FAQ and make sure that the iPod is still under warranty. they won't do anything for you if your warranty ran out.

Which exactly is your iPod?
Classic?
Touch?
Try resetting - push the hold button and pull it back after a few secs and then hold the up button and menu button together for about 6 sec.
If that does not work it might be the song format's problem.
Check whether the song is compatible with your iPod or else you can convert it using iTunes.

I guess you should.I got an ipod for christmas and I also need help.It works but I want to know if theres a site where I can download anime music when I dont have money to buy the itune card thingy. >_<
