Well I was thinking to change my name (username) but first I must ask if I can do that.. Can we?

Also if yes you should make a Change You're Name thread, and they need to keep the name for a year then they may change it or something

In order to change your name, you're required to re-register, thus losing your join date, postcount, and reputation. Sorry. ^_^;

EDIT: Too slow. >_>; A namechange thread would be a pretty good idea, but namechanges aren't allowed in general for some reason.

No we don't change user names. Only small edits when you first join (as in a typo in the name).

But you can re-register a new account with the user name you want.

Yeah this is the only way, cause then the praetors and admins would have a line out the door for name changes so if you wanna change your name you have to re-register.

I think the main reason they do it is because new accounts take up space on the sever.


But PC has always been where we don't change usernames. But making a new account is fine.

Robert, that was uncalled for. I also don't see why we don't allow namechanges. It takes, like, 10 seconds to reach that section of the Admin CP, and another 10 seconds to edit the person's username.

The point is not that it isn't hard to do, but everyone would be wanting a name change and everyone would get confused on who is who. It is just too big of a hassle in the long run.

By time limits, I mean that they can only change their name after so long since their last change. Say, 6 months? Also, they're required to put in their sig that they changed their name from {insert member's old username here}.
