It gives your opponent a chance to switch out and it's base power is 70, so basically your a getting a 35 power each turn move.
which is bad base power.

so, its still fairly powerful and if used by dragonite power is multiplied by 1.5 sice its a flying type move and dragonite is part flying type. and in d/p its power s 90 not 70, and what do you mean 35 power?

Well, you did suggest a physical move and a special move on a single Pokemon without stating why it's needed... I mean with the attack "normalization" of DP, there's much less need to used a mixed attacker imo.

Also, the majority of HM moves are useless competitively, except the Water type moves.

Memphis will explain. It leaves your opponent free to switch to someone able to repel it (rock type), as well as make Thunder 100% accurate. But Memphis will explain in a more hilarious way.

Heck I'd go with another Dragon/Flying type. Dragonite lacks in competitive play.

Salamence out of the top of my head
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- Hydropump
- Hidden Power Ground? Or maybe Flying...

EV's in Sp.AT and Speed, Nature... probably Sp.At+ or Speed+

Was thinking how effective a Salamence with Draco Meteor@ChoiceGlasses will be, assuming that you switch it out soon after you use Meteor.
