Thanks. My goal was to make a team of favs, but not one of those cheap arse sucky teams, and other than that punch to the stomach you gave me with Starmie, I think I did a pretty darn good team.

You can ask c-dog. Noctowl worked out great. With Reflect, she suvived-in the yellow-a Stone Edge, just so she could use Hypnosis, & Whirlwind, to Air Slash a Venasaur.

She doesn't have the best stats, but I make her work.

Sims is 110% right with no typo! If he loves noctowl, he should keep him! He has good HP and SP. D and is a pretty decent special wall! Even though blissey is the most powerful special wall easily, I'll never use it cuz I hate it. If you just play to win it ruins the fun! Maybe more people should use favorites and we wouldn't have a blissey on every team! Sims's team isn't half bad. It has some holes, but what team doesn't?

I just don't like that GAPING hole to ice. It has hurt me before. I made a match one-sided by playing both Reflect & Light Screen together.

Since you have that weakness, you may need to consider...i hate to say this...get rid of one of your pokemon for a really good ice counter like milotic. That's the only solution I can come up with...I just hate saying that...

Ah, now I feel all dirty...still, I like more than those posted, and no one said a team must be permenant. I can switch pokes at will. Except, of course, on the battlefield.

But this will be my staple team. Drat, if only Gyarados could learn Fire Fang...

Gardevoir can take special hits fairly well (115 base SP. D). There are plenty of options to explore. There's also blissey. Groan...Slowknig has 110 base SP. D and absorbs ice beam easily. That is a cool pokemon that would help your team out.

Slowking sounds nice. Not Blissey, of course, but Slowking. Hmm...

Recommend a moveset?

Yay! One of my fav pokemon! Remember, you have to trade w/ a king's rock to make it evolve. Make sure you have that. My moveset...HAHAHAHAHA! Here it is:

Slowking@Leftovers
Bold Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 126 SP. Attack, 126 Defense
~Calm Mind
~Psychic/Ice Beam
~Surf/Ice Beam
~Thunder Wave

The cool thing is, it works in 4th gen too. No SP. Defense EVs because of CM and it's already stellar anyways. Yawn, Counter, toxic, skill swap, and substitute are good substitutes (no pun intended) for any move you'd be willing to replace that isn't calm mind.

Lanturn absorbs water types and kills them, truely unique.

I don't like the idea of Slowking because it can't do anything against a Water type with Surf and Icebeam, so he will only be destroying himself, and T-bolt Starmies are everywhere.

Uh if your gonna use slowking i suggest you use slack off as your healing move on him. I also wouldnt suggest calm mind set if you did

Slowking @ leftovers
Calm nature

252hp 252 spdef 6spatk

Ice beam
Slack off
Thunderwave
Psychic/Surf

Would Slowking go first with Twave, despite his pathetic speed?

Also, would it be better for Noctowl to have Air Slash, or Night Shade? Her sp.atk isn't to shabby, but not great. Meaning she isn't meant to attack. But she was able to take on a Venasaur with Air Slash as her STAB. But agains other types, I think Night Shade would be better. Opinons?

I just breed Night Shade on HootHoot cause my current Noctowl lacked Insomnia as an ability.

Torterra-Leftovers/Life Orb

-Wood Hammer
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Rock Polish

I would use Rock Polish to make it a semi sweeper so it out speed some popular pokemon. Life Orb with stab will do a great amount of damage. Your choice though.

Now, I was thinking Rock Polish, but never even considered Life Orb. But if I use that, I might need Synthesis, cause Wood Hammer + Life Orb= Massive recoil.

Would anyone be able to help with my above dillema?

Thanks, Bleach & Sunshine.

I don't think slowking can get slack off in 3rd gen. If he can I sure wish I'd known. Use NightofShadow's moveset and what not if you are gonna use slowking. If he runs into something he can't beat then just switch...

Neither of noctowl's attack stats (especially physical) are that good so I'd use night shade.

I will use Nightofshadow's moveset for Snorlax.

I appreciate all the help. My team will look much better after this. Still, would anyone be able to answer my above question?

Did you mean slowking not snorlax in your last post?

Heh heh, yeah. Will anyone help me decide between Night Shade or Air Slash?

EDIT: Oh, I didn't notice Anti's post. Thanks, I was leaning towards Night Shade, but could't make up my mind.
