air slash does more to venasaur :P it's super effective and has stab. i think air slash is a pretty good choice. what about psychic?

And I'll confirm that noctowl is one of the better pokemon on sim's team. It acts as a great support pokemon providing the team with great protection(reflect), and can put whoever is giving the team the most trouble to sleep with hypnosis or whirlwind it away(can act as a pseudo hazer too). Since sims also happens to like Noctowl a lot, Noctowl definitely stays.

Ah, now I'm even more confused. I just breed a new Hoothoot-I had to, I didn't realize my old Noctowl did not have Insomnia-and the new Hoothoot has Night Shade. C-dog, after I train it up, can you have a test battle? The first time, I will use Night Shaded. If it is not as good as Air Slash, I can easily Heart Scale it for Air Slash.

okay. not sure if i'm the best trainer to have a test battle against though. :P anyway, i'm not familiar with noctowl's offense capabilities.. but its base 75sp.att is not much worse than skarm' base 80att.
