one of my gerbils... escaped from my cage... and my dog... well you know...

Should i get a new gerbil cause my other one is now alone?

    Thanks, MLS

You should feed the other one to the dog so that no is alone.

Haha but nah, I'm guessing you know what you want to do so just do whichever answer you want us to tell you for you.

That's a bad way for a gerbil to die.

Then again, all of my pets have died. Most of old age, only my dogs I had to put to sleep.

Anyways, get another gerbil if you want. No one should be alone.

Trade your dog for 3 furrets. It's worth 2 + your gone gerbil(jk)

I'm sorry that happened. It is a very unfortunate event went it comes to Mascotial Clashing.

You can get another Gerbil and risk the same fate.

Or you can get a puppy to overflow your heart with luv <3

    Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that, a similar thing happened to me. One of my gerbils ended up in the dirty laundry and got burned to death. ;_;

Hmm... if you think it'll help you get over the last gerbil, I'd say go for it. But otherwise get a turtle they're so cute and they swim and bite your fingers and awwh <3

I hash 2 turtles:) The same thing is happening for my cat, it died from a snake bite and we don't know if we should get another one, or a dog. I already have 2 dogs but I have 4 cats so...I don't know. I would recommend getting a new gerbil, or trying something new. Perhaps a mouse or something awesome like that <3

    What?!

I say get another Gerbil. One the same age, if you want, because then one won't be left alone if they die of old.

Of socialise your pets with each other, so they can be friends. Yay! My friend had a dog and guinea pig that got along fine.

    aw :(
    im sorry
but my dog loves my rabbit and my hamster she likes to play with them and just watch them run aroundlol
but ya get anohter one, just make sure you watch it.

I'm sorry for you :< I once lost my hamster also in a terrible way.
It excaped from it's cage and somehow ended up in the backyard and got himself smashed underneith one of our wooden garden chairs.

I was very little back then, and I almost cried my eyes out.
But a few days later I got a new one, so that did the job :'D

I'd rather die from being eaten by a dog than of old age or disease, good (or 'interesting' if you want me to be politically correct) death if you ask me.
Anyway, you may as well find your gerbil a new friend.

    Don't leave them unattended.
Hot water from a washing machine.

    ya i would never,
only because my dog once wanted to play with my bunny,
so my bunny is scared of my dob (i think) so roxy started following the bunny
when the bunny ran under the dining room table my dog
tried to get my bunny out with her claw, she didnt know better though
she just wanted to play, but for now she just watches and i try to give her more
attention around the bunny (bunny doesnt like to be held would rather just run around)
but now the bunny just ignores my dog or goes up to her and just sniffs and licks, and so does my dog
my animals are all socialized, and are fine together.
(for some reason my dog protects the rabbit,
and when anything is near the cage she runs up and just pushes and starts sniffing the rabbit
as if theya re friends :P, but idk, and my dog hates wild rabbits, chipmunks, squirles why?)

but ya i would never, leave my two small animals unattended around my dog/any harmful animal.

Hahaha WHAT HAS POKEMON DONE TO OUR BRAINS?

Lol, sorry, I got into Pokemon in the 2nd generation, I really Waffled up there XD

I mean Ferrets, but I recommend getting another dog. They give more luv than Pikachus Rodent pets.

That's disgusting... why would your dog even have an opportunity to eat your gerbil?

That's disgusting? No... that's life. Animals eat eachother all the time to survive.
I think that question is kinda answered in the first post as well.

D= That's one of the saddest things I've heard in weeks, and my heart sunk when I heard it...especially the part about your other hampster being all alone now. I feel so sorry for it...being alone is a very terrible feeling...but I'm not sure how loneliness affects animals...

It depends on how long the two lived together... In Where The Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls, one of the hero's dogs died, then the other died of heartbreak a few days later. (This isn't just to make you panic, MLS) Maybe you should help make the other gerbil happy by giving it a new friend. It's also nice to try something new... Maybe you could get another kind of pikachu rodent that could get along with a gerbil. Hamsters are fun.

    … What the-!

I'm sorry to hear that, and I think you should take the risk of gettin' another Gerbil. However, maybe you should tighten the lock this time? ;)
