After reading and looking at hte Town Map I discovered something, here it is:
Look at the town map and form imaginary lines to connect the 3 lakes, they will form a triangle.You remember Spear Pillar, look for it in the map and mark it with an imaginary circle, remember that the block where Dialga/Palkia was awakened had a triangle.Now, do you remember the image in the Celestic Town ruins?It had the lake trio forming a triangle with an orb in the middle, do you know were I'm going with this?

I think that was done on purpose by Game Freaks to tie in with the storyline. I highly doubt it's a mere coincidence.

That was the point of the storyline o.O; the 3 Elfs formed a triangle around Mt. Coronet, where Palkia/Dialga were sealed, and over time, lakes were formed :/
