My Team on Ruby

You found feebas?!!! Nice! Okay, what are you gonna do about your starmie weakness?

No, I didn't find it. Sorry about it, but my English isn't complete.

Starmie weakness?

EDIT: I have a small trick to find it, but it may take hours..

Milotic gets hit by thunderbolt, so watch out (mirror coat beats it) but it can't switch in and take two tbolts. Donphan is destroyed by surf, heracross by psychic (if the starmie is carrying it, though many don't). Mence...ice beam, and skarmory is hit hard by tbolt as was. No one really walls it, maybe grumpig, but meh. Getting firered/leafgreen would help you expand your options to the overpowering blissey, who stops starmie dead in its tracks.

Yeah, I have Leafgreen, but didn't complete it yet. I am on the fifth gym I think... I'm using a trick to find Feebas now...

Okay, but before you start EV training and what not, we should finalize a solid team. Any good OU team shouldn't be starmie weak. Post the furure team you're planning on so we can help out more. That way, we can eliminate weaknesses.

Spec-mence beats a Starmie with Crunch... And it's unlikely any trainer has a Starmie with that moveset. But...

Even with that trick I didn't find Feebas yet!!!

You do realize specsmence is only in D/P? Besides, starmie I believe (I'm not sure though) outspeeds mence, so uh oh. What if somebody else is in when a starmie comes out? Mence won't even survive switching in, assuming ice beam is used. If not, you are maybe at a disadvantage. You need a sloid starmie counter.

So, I need a Dark type, no? Or an Electric type... But Grumpig can counter it, since I teached Shadow Ball to Spoink. So, no prob.

Oh no. Grumpig's attack...well, I have better attack than that thing. Supereffective doesn't mean everything, you need to be able to counter its attacks...*coughblisseycough*

Yeah, I know... But is better than nothing, Grumpig hasn't SO bad attack power.

Now going to bed *yawns*...

45 base attack...all I can say is...NO! Try HP grass/electric! nononono

How do I know a Hidden Power is a certain type? Does it have anything to do with the nature???

Nope, the IVs. If you don't know about them you MUST look it up. You can find a good IV/HP calculator online: Metalkid's (just google it).

Hm, I'll look for it tomorrow, going to bed **does a super-yawn**

Bye!

**super-yawns again... and again...** xD

Okay, good luck with feebas. Try to look at alternatives for this team maybe...or movesets or something. It still needs work, but it's okay for now.

I hate to tell you but everyone runs with a timid starmie on those games(since there are no choice scarfs) so it would take 3-4 thunderbolts for a starmie to take down a milotic without recover. I think milotic is the counter to starmie.

You may be right, but w/o special defense EVs, can milotic take two thunderbolts? If it can, then you are right. I totally forgot about that. VERY good point, thanks for bringing that up.

Is he not ev training his pokemon? Well even if he doesn't with milotics awesome combination of special defense and hp it can pretty much take thunderbolts and still have time to attack and recover.
