Chapter 2: Time to Rock n' Roll!

It was dark, Austin noticed. Too dark. "Okay Gastly", Austin started. "Let's get this out lof here", Austin said, fishing out a flashlight from his bag. "Here we go!", he said, flicking it on and zipping up the bag.

"Gastly!", Gastly exclaimed, as it saw the light.

"Okay Gastly, now lead the way!" Gastly floated forward, when suddenly, they were stopped at a huge pile of rocks. "Hmm.....peculiar", Austin said deep in thought. "I know! Gastly, use Spite, then, Ice Punch!"

Gastly bulked up, becoming blurry and his gas around him turned red and blue. Suddenly, the rocks became out lined with the red and blue, and Gastly returned to normal.

"Okay, now, Ice Punch!", Austin exclaimed as Gastly trust itself forward, and hit thhe rocks, turning them icy, and frozen. "Nice job!", Austin said. He pushed on the frozen, out-lined rocks, and they fell, out of their heap, onto the floor.

"Now lets", Austin started, when he was stopped. The rocks that had crashed to the ground were alive, and coming after the two. They were Geodue!

Austin ducked quickly, as the Geodude came forward in a Tackle. They wen't right through Gastly, and crashed into the hard rock wall.

Stupid Pokemon, Austin thought. "Now Gastly,use Spite!"

Once again, Gastly blurred, and the Geodude all were outlined again. "Now, finish with a, Hypnosis!" Gastly sent out a ring from its body, that landed on the Geodude, then perished, sending them to sleep. "Ice Punch! Finish them off!", Austin ordered.

Gastly flung forward, and hit the Geodude, sending them into an unconcious state. Out of the wild Geodude, all fainted, Austin picked a random one, and tossed his pokeball. It shook once, twice, and....

Dallas and his Phanpy arrived at the pokemon gym, but found it closed. "Well, what else is here?" He asked Phanpy. Phanpy didn't respond. "Phanpy?" Asked Dallas. He looked around, and saw Phanpy running towards deep snow. "Phanpy, no!" Yelled Dallas, chasing after the pokemon. Dallas caught up with Phanpy and grabbed it in his arms. "You'd get buried in that snow...Don't run off like that again" Said Dallas. He looked up, and past the deep snow he saw a huge building. "I remember reading about this Phanpy...It's the Snowpointe Temple. Come on, we should go inside." Dallas said, staring at the building. He walked in the deep snow with Phanpy in his arms, and he eventually got to the doors. He walked into the frozen temple, and was met with a rush of chilly wind. The temple seemed empty, but there were rocks and a large statue opposite from the doors. He was spooked by this, and Phanpy had it's face buried in it's legs. "It's alright, Phanp" Said Dallas, petting the Phanpy. Dallas heard something growling, and this scared Phanpy so much that it jumped out of Dallas' arms, and it started heading towards stairs. "No Phanpy, you'll get hurt!" Yelled Dallas, running towards Phanpy to pick it up. Phanpy went down the stairs, and Dallas continued to run after it. Dallas looked at Phanpy as he was coming down the stairs, and it was as still as a rock. Dallas looked at Phanpy and ran faster, then swiped it up in his arms. Phanpy stopped because at Dallas' feet, there was a Geodude.

Dallas had read about Geodude in a book, as he did with many things, but he hardly knew anything about it. So he brought out his pokedex and decided to check it out. "Geodude. Found in caves or mountains. People often mistake them for rocks and trip or step on them." Said the Pokedex's smooth voice. Dallas put the Pokedex away, and stepped closer to the Geodude, and let Phanpy out of his arms. "Well, we have our first battle" Said Dallas, looking at Phanpy.

Geodude knew it was up for a battle, and it jumped towards Phanpy. "Phanpy, defense curl!" Shouted Dallas. Phanpy curled up into a little ball, and then Geodude hit Phanpy and fell backwards. It appeared to be stunned for a moment. "Phanpy, use growl then tackle!" Yelled Dallas. "Phaaaaannnnp!" Responded Phanpy. It get ready to pounce, and it let out a long growl then tackled Geodude. Geodude got hit and fell back again, but Phanpy winced in pain as it tackled Geodude's hard body. Geodude then threw mud off of the ground at Phanpy's face, and Phanpy jumped up and hit the wall, it's eyes blocked by the mud. "Phanpy! Use Defense Curl to get that off!" Called out Dallas. Phanpy once again rolled up into a ball for about 5 seconds while Geodude got up, and then it stopped using defense curl. It's legs were now covered with the mud, but it's eyes were perfectly clear. "Good job, Phanpy. Now, use tackle to knock Geodude out!" Yelled Dallas. Phanpy got up, and jumped at Geodude. Geodude dodged the attack, and Phanpy fell on it's face. "Phanpy! It's ok, your doing good! Use tackle on geodude, then use Defense Curl!" Phanpy got back up, and it jumped at Geodude. Before it hit Geodude though, it curled into a ball and smacked into Geodude's face without even getting hurt. "Good job, Phanpy! Now do that again, except with more power to finish Geodude off!" "Phaaaanp!" Cried out Phanpy as it used the same move. Geodude got hit again, and this time it stayed still on the ground. "Great!" Said Dallas to Phanpy. He got out a pokeball and threw it at Geodude. The pokeball hit Geodude, and Geodude went inside. Then it shook, and Dallas waited for the results...

Chapter 2.2: In the temple​

The pokeball stopped rocking and the red light on front of the ball shut off. Blake ran over to the ball and picked it up, he held up as high as he could shouting, "I caught a Snover!!!" Cyndaquil jumped joyfully up and down clapping his little arms together. Blake and Cyndaquil continued to make their way through the temple, the whole time Blake just stared at the pokeball he couldn't believe it, he had caught a pokemon. "No you and Cyndaquil caught a pokemon," he mentally corrected himself, he turned to Cyndaquil and said, "you know that might have been our first catch, but it isn't going to be our last is it?" Cyndaquil jumped up happily making a cute sound that reminded Blake of a baby for some odd reason. Blake was too distracted between staring at the pokeball and talking to Cyndaquil he diddn't notice the TM disk lying in front of him and almost stepped on it. "Cynda!!" Cyndaquil brought him out of his trance and he looked down and saw the TM disk, leaning over Blake picked it up. "Hey it is a TM Cyndaquil," Cyndaquil just let out a sigh and shook it's head, "these humans are so clueless sometimes," Cyndaquil thought to itself. They came to a long flight of stairs, Blake looked at Cyndaquil and felt safe so he headed down them.
