They should have kept it as Dorapion instead of Drapion, because it's harder for me to say Drapion than it is to say Dorapion. Anyway, it's hard to believe ALL the names are revealed already.
 
its not suppose to be.. if someone didn't leak them they wouldn't be here yet. honestly, I enjoyed getting up everyday to find out a new name or 2..

serebii better not get sued.. he doesnt deserve it
 
I didn't post in the thread but I really guess Riolu in my mind.
 
Judgind by the "L" in Lucario, I thought Riolu would be something like Lioru or Liolu, but it's okay.

By the way, I think I'm the only one who noticed DIalga's name doesn't make sense. If it's supposed to come from "Diamond", shouldn't it be pronounced as /daialga/ rather than /dialga/. I know it's pronounced like that because it's the same way in Japanese.

And Palkia in English doesn't resemble Pearl at all. It should have been Parlkia or something like that.

Anyway, onto the names, the real reason for this post.


Names I do not like

Yanmega - it was fine as Megayanma, and so it shall remain, thank you very much.
Abomasnow - Can't spell it, can't say it. I'll use Snowking for him. Simpler, cooler. Abomasnow sounds like amoeba in the snow. Yuck.
Honchkrow - Worst name ever. I'm calling it Donkrow.
Tangrowth - Too obvious, too unoriginal. Mojanbo it shall remain.
Spiritomb - See above. Mirakuge is better, 'cause it's Japanese and at least I can't see it's so obvious.
Ambipom - Ewwwwwwwww. Eteboss is a tad better.


Names I love/like

Luxray - LUXURIOUS RAY. :D LOVE IT.
Mismagius - Win. ♥
Lickilicky - I LICK U. NEED I SAY MORE? 8D
Gallade - Very French/Italian if you ask me. It's beautiful. :3
Magnezone - Love it. ♥
Gliscor - Wut, somebody was actually thinking when they picked this!! ♥
Vespiqueen - It's not a wasp (from Latin vespa), but then again, Beedrill is not a bee. Fine name.
Gastrodon - Like it. ^^ Very clever.
Lopunny - It's kinda lame, but I can live with it. Better than poor Bunyatto's name. X_x
Dusknoir - Pretty cool. I like it. :3
Froslass - Interesting. o.o

Abominable snowman. I like it X).

Anyway, it occurred to me, unless I'm just pronouncing it wrong, that Uxie sounds just like its japanese name...and Mesprit is...kinda close. It just seems odd to me that they'd choose names that sound like the original names for two of them but not the third (Azelf = not even close).

And you can twist Shaymin to sound like Sheimi (or, rather, twist Sheimi to sound like Shaymin).

I agree, though, that Pachirisu doesn't seem like it would keep its name...
 
Many of those names are still in dispute, actually, so don't get all too excited. Serebii said even he'd change them once he'd find more sources.
 
I like most of the names but not all of them, I guess they are okay but I still like the Japanese names better

Hey, if you hate the translated names or prefer the Japanese ones, then can't you just nickname the Pokemon?
For example, Lickilicky. You can just nickname it "TongueDude" or something.
Just saying.
 
I like the name of spiritomb because it sounds like spirit bomb.

I've grown a custom to Dialga and Palkia, Heatran is also cool Manaphy and Phione are alright.

Piplup, Turtwig and Chimchar are easy to remember.
 
I have just gotten word that those names ARE NOT 100% confirmed. The only ones that are as follows:
