1st Gen Name Glitch

    Hey all,

    I was just wondering what Pokemon appear for you with the name glitch.

    For those of you that would like to try this out that haven't heard of it here's how you do it. First go to Cinnabar Island (The fire gym) next go to the eastern most tile of the island and surf there (the same as if you were doing missingno glitch.) Two types of Pokemon will appear. The first will be from the last location you left (good for catching safari Pokemon.) The second will be random based on your name.
     
    As far as I'm aware it does work in the VC copy.

    If you read through this post the general consensus is that none of the coding was touched when they ported the game to digital. Also I think the old man glitch was changed in Yellow but I haven't tried in about 10 yrs :p
     
    Neither glitch works on any version of Yellow as they made sure to blank that bit of memory once the Old Man's sequence was finished and fixed the Cinnibar Coast bug.
