I just finished "SEEING" all 300 hundred pokemon. They DO NOT make this easy. I had to bust my hump. Has anyone else made it there yet? So, the reward is a trip to a special island.

They claim the island is filled with rare pokemon and is located far, far, far, away from Unova. But the water is filled with Basculin and the grass mostly pokemon you can find in Unova anyway. The only new pokemon was Nuzleaf.

    And a Shiny Haxorus.

The Idea is really cool, but I feel the idea is only half complete. If the island is far, far away from Unova, why is there only one new pokemon? At least put a Magikarp in there!

I Like the Shiny Haxorus, but this island could have been so much more.

What do you think of the nature preserve?

I have yet to get there, but I kind of like the idea of it. I agree with, that they could have put more uncommon Pokemon in there. At least there's Kecleon which is one of the more elusive Pokemon, but you can find Magikarp.
    Still, could have been better.
If it were up to me throw in: Bagon, Gible, Beldum, Scyther, and other Pokemon like that and it'd be perfect.

You can actually get a Magikarp from a man on Marvelous Bridge for $500 just like in the 1st generation. That's the only place I know where you can get one. :)

I'm sure you can find a lot of elusive Pokemon in Hidden Hollows/Grottos? They may be rare, but they're still there if you're lucky enough.

I don't think I'll be able to access the Nature Preserve any time soon. I don't have trading access (as I'm playing through an emulator) and until the version of the emulator I'm using enables WiFi, I'm going to not be able to see some Pokemon.

Actually, you can find Noctowl, Girafarig, Kecleon, along with Nuzleaf/Shiftry all of which are only found at the Nature Preserve. You can also fish up Magikarp/Gyarados in rippling water spots! The Magikarp/Gyarados can both be found at lv1-100, could you imagine catching a lv1 Gyarados? xD

Altaria and Fraxure are also available which is cool because I love Altaria. Dunsparce can be found in rustling grass which is cool. But I have yet to reach it. It will take me a while, but I am working diligently on it. You can also find a Rare Candy, a Big Nugget, and a Max Potion.

Still could be better imo. Coolest part is the shiny they hand you.

I caught the Shiny Haxorus in a Premier Ball, my favorite ball, but it had the wrong ability. I'll have to try again.

The only reason I was able to get 300 seen so fast is because I have 2 gameboys to trade pokemon. There are 4 pokemon in the game you CAN'T even SEE without trading it to your game. Version Exclusive Rufflet/Vulbaby - Skitty/Buneary - and Fist and Thrid Evolution of started pokemon that is weak to your pokemon.

I think that is a big failier that thre are some you can't even SEE with out trading. How hard is it to give a Delcaty Trainer a skitty for our pokedex pages?

Every single trainer will encounter 5 Legendary pokemon durring the main story, but not a Skitty - because those cats are rare!

Well, you can see their evolutions so you can trade for those over the GTS then breed. But ya, it's taking me forever because I'm going for the 297 seen AND caught without trading with my other versions (other than legendaries). Finding the 5% spawns in Rippling Water etc. kinda suck. >_<

Yeah Corsola sucked for me. :P But I was fortunate enough to trade for the third stater, so yeah I finished the 300 and got to the Nature Preserve. I only spent a couple minutes there, pretty much caught the Haxorus, and left.

Fist and Thrid Evolution of started pokemon that is weak to your pokemon.

Actually if you chose the same starter you chose in BW and use the memory link feature, Bianca/Cheren have the third evolution pokemon you can't normally see.

But yes, I haven't gone to the NP yet but from what i've heard/read it is a bit disappointing. I think they should have done much more to it. But oh well, a Shiny Haxorus is good enough

I just got to this point today. I caught Shiny with a timer ball without battleing it. There are a few pokemon you can't see unless you trade. I finally got around to battleing and seeing all the pokemon in the Unova dex other than the version exclusives. Though I traded 16 pokemon over from my White version which has the completed National Dex.

Anyways back on subject. I think they should have added a lot more pokemon to the area. When I first heard about it,I thought there would be around 20 or so pokemon we could catch that are not in the Unova region, but that didn't happen. I think they should have added at least 1 or 2 more shinies or put a legendary pokemon there. Not sure which one though. Maybe Manaphy or Phione. Would have been really nice to have a Shining Metagross there.

Now I got to trade over 300 pokemon to White 2 from White 1. Oh joy.

I do like this feature cos it encourages you to complete the Unova Dex (and as mentioned Rufflet/Vullaby, Buneary/Skitty and the first & third stage starter that is weak to yours require trading in order to get them seen. Nate/Rosa uses the second stage starter weak to yours) but I don't think I'm up for these challenges a lot and I'm not really interested in the Shiny Haxorus anyway even though it is a nice achievement.

I never got to go to the nature preserve because i rented the game from gamefly. It would take to long to see all the pokemon, so I'm just going to buy it probably after christmas. I really want that Shiny Haxerous.

I got to the Nature Preserve and I agree, it felt as though there should have been more "non-Unova" Pokemon. The Shiny Haxorus is awesome, no doubt about that, but with how it was described in-game it definitely felt like there should have been more exclusive Pokemon there.

The Nature Preserve is simultaneously far, far, away from Unova - and a "hop, skip, and a jump" on Skyla's plane.

They could have picked any region and had all the common pokemon from that region show up there. Or Safari Zone Type pokemon. Or NP could have been a Safari Zone Type Location.
