    Not sure if it has been covered here before, but I thought it might be interesting.

    I think it's both. I picture DNA as being the base of a stack. Throughout life, you add thoughts and chemicals to that stack, and the whole thing is you.

    If it's just nature, we wouldn't be able to collect new thoughts. If it's just nurture, then what does the DNA really do?

    suppose the question is how much of each is it?
     
    Good point. Maybe it depends on how much information is packed into DNA, and how much information can be stored into the brain? But DNA seems kind of like a zip file, so I'm not sure how to compare the two. :S
     
    I've always learned and believed that certain, innate behaviours are natured (ie. searching for food when hungry, laughing, crying, etc.), while many others are nurtured (etiquette, love, politeness, etc.)
