It states in Zygarde's entry: "It's hypothesized that it's monitoring those who destroy the ecosystem from deep in the cave where it lives." - Pokedex Y

Do you think Zygarde will have significance to this game, or will these games help create a story for the inevitable Third Version?

Rayquaza seems to do that part well enough, but the ecosystem specifically isn't getting changed, it's only collateral damage of trying to create land or sea. And besides, having Zygarde might bias the whole thing to land's side.

I sincerely doubt that, seeing as Kalos is Zygarde's only concern:
When the Kalos region's ecosystem falls into disarray, it appears and reveals its secret power. It's hypothesized that it's monitoring those who destroy the ecosystem from deep in the cave where it lives.

I'm just guessing ORAS stories will probably intertwine with XY and go into the third version's story. But other than that, I guess Zygarde wouldn't have much impact with ORAS.

Since these are official remakes and not sequels, I highly doubt they'll bring a 6th gen Pokemon into 3rd gen remakes. They have enough to work with when it comes to the region's legendaries. All three work together very well. It'll be interesting to see whether or not they'll include our favourite green snake or not.

Actually, if team magma succeeded in their plan in R then there would be no water to have for the plants. (Or atleast not enough at the time) and if team aqua succeeded then there would be toouch water and the plants would die from too much water and not anywhere to plant them. So yes the ecosystems would've definitely changed. If zygarde is intertwined with the story, the remakes could change and the teams would succeed, bring zygarde into the story. Rayquaza is the guardian of the skies. Not the ecosystems.

I don't think they need to bring Zygarde in. Though perhaps they'll make it so that the event in these remakes are what sent the climate off as seen in Pt. Perhaps this battle had repercussions which won't show their effects until some years after.

Well I guess it depends how the story would play out. Rayquaza may live in the sky but he is said to appear when Kyogre and Groudon fight, which is an event with potential to disturb the current balance of nature and our ecosystems. It's not out of the question that he'd appear should either land or water become too prominent in general...

I like Zygarde but I don't think this is its time due to its Pokédex entry specifically stating "Kalos". I'd be surprised if it was here.

I think Zygarde will have NO involvement with this game. Whether people like it or not there is going to be a Z version (XZYZ) going to come out before Gen 7 and Zygarde will be the main legend of that game.

Oh yes, it is. Think about an XY Pokémon making an immediate effect on a remake. It would be cool to think about, but it won't be so practical, unfortunately.

I honestly don't see RSE having any correlation with the Kalos story or any of its legendary pokemon. It would be clashing with the timeline of pokemon, and I personally just want it to contain Hoenn in all its glory. The original RSE games contain enough content to warrant a full remake, and I think trying to incorporate Kalos into ORAS would simply be a waste of time.

I think Kalos Pokémon (never played xy) should only come in after[/] the normal events. Like the whole nationaldex thing in most games.
