    I was almost killed by a shark a couple of years ago XD
    I was snorkling around the coral reef off of the Florida Keys, and I swam out too far on my own and saw a shark O.o
    I tried to turn around, but i was really panicing..last thing that happened was i looked under the water, and saw the shark charging towards me O.o so i swam for my life..scary..i thought that was the end of me..
    ...but i still really love sharks XD
     
    Yeah, many times to list them all...
     
    when I was 5, I was trying out my new rollerblades outside my house on christmas night. this white car drove up and stopped right in front of my house. I just remember seeing the door open and I rollerbladed as fast as I could up to the door of my house. o.O to think I might not even be here anymore if I had stayed there and not run off.. scary.

    on CHRISTMAS, to boot. people are so sick. T_T;;
     
    When I was 13, I had once had a disease that I can't breath properly.
    I fainted and felt awful and my parents sent me to hospital.
    The whole thing was very scary.
     
    Yikes, those sound so scary! (Especially the shark one... o_o I'm scared to death of them!)

    One time my brother and I almost died on the same day. I remember posting this story once in another thread. When I was little, my mom and I had gone shopping while my little brother stayed at my grandparent's house. When we got back, my mom noticed that everyone was gone, even my great-grandfather. She called my aunt to see if she knew what had happened, after waiting and being unable to contact anyone else. While she was on the phone, she didn't realize that I had wandered off. After only a few seconds she noticed that I was gone, and immediately ran to check our swimming pool. She ended up finding me already underwater, and thankfully she got me out quickly! Since I had only been in a few seconds it didn't take long for me to wake up and everything, but it just scared my mom to death!

    Then, right after we came back inside my grandmother walked in and told my mom that my brother had been run over by one of their golf carts! (By accident) Thankfully, he didn't get hit by one of the tires--It just drove over him, but he was burned a little.

    Now though, we're both perfectly okay and you would never be able to tell that either of those things happened!

    I also remember that one time in Florida when we were at the beach, I was swimming around in the water and felt something weird brush up against my leg. O_o Nothing happened, but it's just a freaky thought now because I've read that sharks have taste buds on their skin, and usually before attacking something they'll touch it just to see if it tastes good to them.

    And I might can think of some more stories later...

    wow! do you know what kinda shsrk it was DF?..

    ive had 2 experiences
    The first time was when I was getting swimming lessons,it was at the local YMCA and the instructors were like 13.....so the instructor was helping another kid and I slipped and fell and no1 except a little girl saw so she told the instructor and I got out...i was under about 15 seconds....so my mom took me out of that swim class because there was never a life guard on duty ( from what we saw ) and the instructor was too immature.....so it was kinda scary I was only 6 .....and it didnt scare me so bad that I didnt ever want to go in a pool again, I learned to swim a month later....

    The other one was when i had pnemonia ( spelling? ),I first had it for a week and then it came back and I was living off jello and crap....then i got well again and got the flu...overall I was in horrible health , i wasnt exactly close to death but it was pretty bad...
     
    Wow...all of those experiences mentioned are scary. o.0 I personally haven't had a near-death experience that I can think of, and hopefully won't.
     
    This summer I was swimming in the ocean and I got separated from my friend and I felt something beside me and there was this shark trailing me. Luckily I escaped him. Then another summer I was swimming at our pool club, and my brother jumped on top of me, sitting on my shoulders and pushed me underwater. He would not let me up for nearly a minute. Eventually I got him off of me, but I nearly drowned. Several years ago, I was with my neighbors (we were carpooling home from choir practice). They had all gotten out of the auto, and I started choking on a cream saver. No one was there to save me, but I was able to dislodge the candy. Since then I have not eaten any of those candies. I have been pushed down stairs, nearly run over, and in goodness knows how many car accidents. People like hurting me for some odd reason. O.o
     
    I have had too many...starting when I was born ;-;...the umbilical cord was choking me and I actully died for like 2 seconds o,o'...
     
    yeah..i was taking a walk and someone had a gun,and they were trailing me.so i ran into a bathroom and hid.i was on vacation,so i told my dad and we never went back.
     
    A GUN!!! Oh my! >_< eppp thats not good... mine actually happened last week... kind of comman a car crash I was the only one in the car and a car hit the back of my car and I did a fish tail thought the intersection into a telephone pole... I just got out of the hospital ^_^ and Im glad to be here ^_~
     
    hmm... when i was really little... like 4 i was at a friends house and they were having a party :D ... i tried to swim in my swimming pool etc etc. i went under :P they didnt see me for a minute or so... i was screaming my lungs out thinking they would hear me -_-;; man was i mad after when they finally saw me...
    there has been countless times when i was little and had really high fevers... and my parents always had to go to the hospital... ^^;; im still alive thou :D
    oh yea... i almost got hit by a car 3 weeks ago... somebody's mom wasnt watching where she was going when i was riding my bike home from school >=(
     
    It's surprising the number of people who have had near-death experiences ^^ ..in a kinda scary way XD
    So many involve swimming pools O.O

    Not sure what kind of shark it was, tyranitar, i just remember it being about 6 foot long, and a sort of brown-grey colour..i didnt stick around to examine it more closely XD
     
    hmm...6 feet ...i'm glad you DIDNT stick around to see it.....brown grey color?...maybe a nurse shark ...thats what color they are ..and they are around that length...
     
    Yes. it almost happend when I was aboute 10 years old. I run home back from school and I didn't stopd when I got to a road. so when I passed it, a car almost smashed me :confused: after a few seconds of thinking what almost happend to me, I started to run again home.

    Geez.. and I thought I'd be the only one to post about near-death drowning Ehh anyways, if I remember correctly, I already posted about this... When I first moved here to F.L (Florida) I lived in a very nice, and huge apartment,(it reminded me of a a Motel.. and they PWN o.o) it was pretty nice.. huge p00l, gambling room, nice park.. much more. Did I mention the big p00l? This is where my story comes in..

    I'm standing outside with my dad, and his friends, and like always... he's too busy having a g00d time to pay much attention to me. -_- I.. being eager to swim, asked him if it was alright for me to swim.. he replys: ''Yeah, go ahead'' So me.. not able to swim jumped in.. My dad knew that I couldent without my arm floatations, and I did have them on.. but they had no air in them.. After a while my dad's friend noticed I was at the bottom of the p00l, though I was doing ok, just nervous. I heard my dad telling me to keep jumping to the surface to get air until he reached me, (which I did) but eventually I got tired, and couldent do so after a while. This is when I was at the bottom with my eyes open saying to myself ''I know I wont make it..'' (I was about 4-6 years old)

    My dad, and his friend went to save me, I was quite pissed about the whole thing since my dad wasent my savior o.O Though that dident really matter.. I was actually quite worried about him. >_< When he told my mom what happened she lost her mind... Just letting you guys know I still love to swim, and my dads fine. o.O

    That's by far the worse I'll put down.
