I've gotten myself into a few near-death experiences when I was little, due to my overly eager attitude (I've wised up a bit because of them though, thankfully, hehe).
One that really stuck with me that I remember posting on a different thread a while back, was when my mom saved me from a passing car by yanking on the hood of my jacket. My mom, my older sister, and I, stopped at the grocery store one day to buy a few things when it happened. I was about 5 at the time, so my mom helped me out of the car and placed me on the sidewalk, only for a second to help unbuckle my sister. While she was busy, I thought I would get a head start, and rushed out into the street to get to the store. Unfortunately, I didn't see the truck zooming down the street on my right. By this time my mom was finished getting my sister out and quickly caught sight of the truck coming at me on the street, frantically dashing onto it to get me. Luckily, it was pretty cold that day so I was wearing my jacket, which was the only thing my mom could extend her hand and grasp. She tugged on my hood, pulling me out of the way of the truck before it rushed by. I was pretty shaken up, but that was mostly due to my mom's scolding, hehe. Can't say I didn't deserve it!
Oh, and I supposedly stuck a penny in a wall socket once, but I'm not entirely sure (I always thought my sister was the one who did it, but when I brought the incident up the other night everyone seems to say it was me. *shrugs* Ah well, hehe.). Either way it only caused a slight shock though, so there wasn't any permanent damage.
Even so, It wasn't a very bright idea!
*Drumset play and crickets chirp*
Nope, hehe...
There's more where that came from, but these aren't very comforting memories to recall all at once, hehe. I'll tell them later!
