Since we've been talking about this forever it should be fairly easy to finalize. We're just livestreaming selected arcs from various points in the Pokémon Anime. nbd.

    What We Need To Do
    1. finalize episode list
    2. set dates & times
    3. make a pretty event thread post
    4. make a cute lil participation emblem

    1. here's what I have for episodes right now:
    - OS Larvitar 258-264 [7] 2.8
    - OS Silver Conference 265-273 [9] 3.6
    - AG Frontier Battles 135, 136, 149, 153, 158, 164, 169, 170, 178, 186, 190 [11] 4.4
    - AG Grand Festival 2 180-182 [3] 1.2
    - DP Tag Battles 149-152 [4] 1.6

key: SERIES Subject BulbaEpisode# [Number of Episodes] runtime in hours

This is a really ambitious list. Something needs to be taken out, and I'm leaning toward the Frontier Battles. That brings it down to still ambitious but actually manageable.

    2. Dates & times need to be set for each segment of this. We absolutely should not clash with the Pokémon Anime movie nights nor the regular movie nights. I'm not sure if there's any other things we should be wary about running into but we certainly should co-ordinate with those two. And we should probably spread these out to try to hit all the timezones. We could probably do one for every day of GT if we want to do it that way, or skip out a day, whatever.

Olli's posted his prospective times and they are as follows [all are GT-6/PC Time/US Central Time]:
    4am - 6am for the UTC+8 streaming.
    12pm - 2pm for the UTC+0 streaming.
    6pm - 8pm for the UTC-6 streaming.

    3. I mean we should probably do some nice neat CSS or whatever and make a nice introduction and informative post. Top priority should always be clarity of text and meaning though.

    4. It'd be cool to do an themed emblem for each of the segments but that's just too much work for everyone and not really necessary. One cute lil emblem saying "thanks for joining us" or something should be fine.

I totally got CSS covered, so no worries on that side of things. I'll be working on it in this post later.

Get Together 2013: Pokemon Anime Marathon!

Welcome, one and all, to the Pokemon Anime Marathon, presented by EternallyAnna and [Supporter]NecrumWarrior[/Supporter]. Between July 5th and July 7th, we will be streaming hours of Pokemon Anime, for your viewing pleasure. We invite you to join us, and chat about the episodes, crack jokes, and enjoy some of the things that brought us joy in our childhood.

If you like talking to us, I suggest you check out #lilycove. Both Anna and myself are always there. And, if you enjoy watching Pokemon with us, you should join in with us at the Pokemon Anime Watch-Along Club, where we watch an episode chosen from any part of the series weekly, and discuss it, kinda like a book club for Pokemon.

    Chat Rules

As we are streaming a kids show, we will be laying out a few ground rules for the chat that we will expect everyone to adhere to.

    1. No fighting: Real debates are acceptable, but petty quarrels will not be tolerated, and we will intervene where necessary.
    2. Treat everyone with respect: This should go without saying. Everyone is here to have a good time, so please be respectful of everyone else, in the same manner you would want to be treated.
    3. Cursing is censored: You can curse if you like, we are not too worried about this, but know that Livestream will censor all curse words. Please do not try to work around the censor by spelling words out by letter, and try to keep the dialogue PG, we can still tell what you're saying most of the time.
    4. Any derogatory terms or behavior will not be tolerated: Any and all racism, sexism, religious persecution, and criticism of sexual orientation will be harshly punished with an instant ban. Offensive terms like "retarded" will be handled with a warning at first.
    5. Off-topic chatter is permissible, but we'd like to keep a general focus on the anime and a specific focus on the episodes currently being streamed.

Emblems and How to Get Them

Instead of trying to keep track of who all is actually at the stream, you will be providing us with some proof here on what streams you participated in. This allows us to keep the stream going smoothly and allow everyone to use whatever name they want in the Livestream chat. Proof of participation is simple. Just post your favorite part of a stream, episode, or even something that happened in the chat if you really want. Try to elaborate instead of just saying "I liked watching Team Rocket get blasted off in this episode." Explain why you liked it. It doesn't have to be super detailed, even just a sentence is okay. To qualify for Persistent Patrons, you will have to post like this for each stream, though a single edited post is acceptable.

Okay! And I had a thought for emblems- should we make two? One for showing up to any, and one for showing up to all of them? And also we should probably make sure we both have access to the episodes that we'll be watching. And we should think about times. And which episodes will be omitted. Are you on board for dropping the Frontier Battles?

I think 2 emblems is perfect. Just gotta find the perfect moments to capture for the emblems. Are you able to stream also? I know at first it was just gonna be me, but now it's looking like my friend will be in town that week, so if we could work it out to split up streaming duties that would be nice. While it pains me, I think we will have to drop Frontier Battles. It was a nice idea, but it runs too long overall, and we have a lot already.

Yeah I can stream as well... you may have to walk me through it a bit and help me out. .3. I'll do it for Watch-Along for next few weeks to get the hang of it.

    So now we've got

    - OS Larvitar 258-264 [7] 2.8
    - OS Silver Conference 265-273 [9] 3.6
    - AG Grand Festival 2 180-182 [3] 1.2
    - DP Tag Battles 149-152 [4] 1.6

which is a total runtime of 9.2 hours. What should we do with that? Should we do one stream a day or double up on one or two days? We should def break between arcs for at least two hours. I'm thinking we could start on Friday and double up the last two on Sunday because they're pretty short.

I can totally help you figure it out. I am wondering if you being an moderator on my channel- OH. We should probably make a channel separate for this. I'll get on that as soon as I can. Hopefully I can set it up where we can both stream to the channel, but we'll see.

We should put a 15 minute break every 2 episodes or so for people who need to get snacks or go to the bathroom.

I think doubling up the last 2 works perfectly.

I think we should be able to do it that way? Like if we have an account that both of us can log into as needed and also have our normal livestream accounts modded on that channel. And yeah, breaks are needed. maybe 3-5min between eps and 15 min about halfway through? Depending on the needs of the current viewers maybe.

    So like this, yeah?

    Friday - OS Larvitar 258-264 [7] 2.8
    Saturday - OS Silver Conference 265-273 [9] 3.6
    Sunday - AG Grand Festival 2 180-182 [3] 1.2
    Sunday - DP Tag Battles 149-152 [4] 1.6

Should we put all of Sunday's together or should we stream Grand Festival early and Tag Battles later?

I think splitting them on Sunday would be cool. i kinda like the idea of having the first Sunday stream be like a Brunch thing. Maybe we can name each showing based on time and/or what we watch?

Yeah, at the very least we can just have an account we both know the login for, but hopefully I can set it up for multiple people to stream to the channel. Can you calculate running time with 5 minute breaks and a 15 in the middle?

That'd be fun. Get creative little themed names going or something.

I don't think we need a 15 for the Sunday ones though so I'm not going to add in that.

    Friday - OS Larvitar 258-264 [7] 2.8 // 220 - 3.7
    Saturday - OS Silver Conference 265-273 [9] 3.6 // 266 - 4.4
    Sunday - AG Grand Festival 2 180-182 [3] 1.2 // 82 - 1.4
    Sunday - DP Tag Battles 149-152 [4] 1.6 // 111 - 1.9

rounded up, minutes - hours for total stream time

so what times are we thinking? put them in CST though so we match general PC time and we can easily compare to Olli's schedule

If we go based on CST, without exact times, I would say Friday should be in the evening, Saturday mid afternoon, Sunday early day and late afternoon.

So a tentative layout could be:
    Friday: 7pm
    Saturday: 2pm
    Sunday: 9am / 4 pm

Something similar to this would give us a good spread for people who have different time zones and want to attend one.

I always favour clarity over anything fancy. You could probably just base it off Watch-Along's format for text and stick a nice lil background in. I'd prefer a light-coloured BG with some sort of texture- a subtle seamless pattern or a gradient. Stick a solid border on that matches the text. No blues or purples; peach or orange would be a better colour scheme. idk it's your call.

I got a first version of it up. Do you think it's too bright? I suppose it only looks so bright to me because I use a dark theme on PC.

I don't think it's too bright on my theme (Stunfisk'd, off-white content boxes), but it'd be fine if you reduced saturation and increased lightness enough to make it not jarring on darker themes. And it'd still look nice on light themes.

Okay, I reduced the saturation. It looks much much better on my screen. So I think this is good. I'll start filling in the layout tomorrow.

I have set up the channel here: https://livestre.am/4waM8

Also, I have added you as a Producer on the team, so you should be able to stream if need be. Next, we need to gather up the episodes, so let's touch base on IRC when you can and discuss that soon.

Far as I know those are the times. We still have a some days to change them if need be. I'll start filling in the info for our thread post tonight.

    Friday 9pm-1am - OS Larvitar 258-264 [7] 2.8 // 220 - 3.7
    Saturday 3:00pm-7:30pm - OS Silver Conference 265-273 [9] 3.6 // 266 - 4.4
    Sunday 9am-10:30am - AG Grand Festival 2 180-182 [3] 1.2 // 82 - 1.4
    Sunday 4:30pm-6:30pm - DP Tag Battles 049-052 [4] 1.6 // 111 - 1.9

    Scheduling looks like that.

I work 10-2 on Friday and 10-4 on Saturday. Sunday 9:45-2. Should be able to get back for the afternoon stream.

    here's the first emblem:
