    I couldn't find the "Need Staff" thread so I was wondering if someone would be willing to make a layout for my phpbb forum? I have PM'd Stalis about it, but I want to see everyone's work. If possible, can you PM me with a link to some of your work if interested. Thanks.
     
    Yes, there is alot of nice pre made skins. I suggest going onto google and searching "phpBB Skins" there should be alot and there not hard to upload if you just read the readme (Always read the README guys :p)

    Yeah, Also invision is a good forum you could choose. Its a little harder than PHPbb but it has alot moer features. Also the new Invision 2.0 is out and it looks AWSOME! :).

    theres no doubt phpbb is better than invision free.

    Acutally, PHPbb is crap compared to basically everything. I use Vbulletin, but when i didn't have that i used invision. If you know what your doing invision is better, if not its PHPbb.
     
    Simone, it's phpBB, not PHPbb for one thing... and it's far from crap. It does what a forum needs to do, without all the extra crap that invision and vBulletin throw in. Half of the stuff that comes in those defultly is useless to a beginner forum maker... and what you do want, you can find in a mod.

    And I recommend the "subInvert" skin... @@;; it purrrrrrdy!
     
    A basic one doesn't use all that much...

    And in my experience, IPB and vB both used more bandwidth that phpBB.
     
    If your going to be a beginner then yes, you choose phpBB. (i don't care what it is, its still PHPbb or phpbb or phpBB).

    If you want something that is worth while and has alot better things more skins etc.. then you go VB. For people that aren't totally beginners and want something better than you go invision.

    Simple ^_^. Also i agree with Sakura, they use WAY to much BW.
     
    Or if you don't have a credit card/the finances - phpBB is for you. At least it is a lot better than Phil's Community Suite (at www.youngpip.com/pcs.asp ,and is growing more and more defunct).

    Huge forums go with phpBB, such as go-gaia.com, so it's not just for beginners. And full support is free, unlike IPB or vB.

    There's a difference... because there are servers that are case sensitive, so phpBB would be different from phpbb or PHPbb.

    Mods can add just about anything, like I said. And you can skin phpBB however you want.

    VB loads alot faster, thats why its expensive. phpBB or w/e may be used by SOME large sites, but i bet there focus isnt forums. It would be something else with a forum. And the other reason they would use phpBB is because it has an auto install on a CP. So its easy to install.

    With the PHPbb, phpbb and phpBB. When i'm generally chatting people know what i'm talking about. If you don't then.. i can't really say much about you.
