I've started a new team and I've just been raising them not really putting any attention in their moves and hold items yet.
So I was wondering what you guys would advice me for my team?

    My Team:

    *Dusknoir lv 42 (bashfull)
    -confuse ray
    -nightshade
    -pain split
    -will-o-wisp

    *Snorlax lv 41 (Jolly)
    -double-edge
    -rest
    -rollout
    -body slam

    *Charizard lv40 (quiet)
    -slash
    -wing attack
    -swords dance
    -flamethrower

    *Raikou lv 46 (serious)
    -Thundershock
    -roar
    -quik attack
    -Spark

    *Ferligatr lv 47 (quiet)
    -Ice fang
    -crunch
    -water gun
    -slash

    *Salamance (adamant)
    -fly
    -crunch
    -dragonbreath
    -Zen headbutt

Well, I suggest raising your pokemon to a higher level.

    Dusknoir@Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP / 172 Defense / 80 Attack
    - Thunder Punch / Ice Punch / Shadow Punch / Shadow Sneak
    - Thunder Punch / Ice Punch / Shadow Punch / Shadow Sneak
    - Will-o-Wisp
    - Pain Split

    Salamence@Choice Specs
    Trait: Intimidate
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed / 4 HP
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Draco Meteor
    - Hydro Pump
    - Fire Blast / Flamethrower

Yes, im raising them to higher lv's but I was just asking so I know when to change or keep a move when they learn new ones.

Your Pokemon's Natures are very off. Try getting good IVs, EVs, and Natures on all of them.

NEVER use Natures that don't give a Stat boost (e.g. Bashful, Serious)

Your team is weak to any Earthquake / Stone Edgers that come to play. Get some Spikespinners and Baton Passers.

Well I've been training this team from lv one so I'd be annoying to start all over again...
Except for Raikou I got him in a trade.
Maybe I could switch him for another pokémon...I dunno.
I just wanted to know the best moves and items for my current team.

Seriously if you use neutral nature in competitive battles, you will fail, simple as that.

Do you also not ev train ?

What nature would you advice then if I want to keep the same pokémon?
Adamant for Salamance is an okay nature for it I figured.

Thank you. Everyone is commenting on his natures as that is his only problem, when his movesets are WAAAAAY off.

As I said in the first post, I didn't really work on the moves yet hence im asking whats the best choice concerning them.

    @Romance Hero: thx, I'll remember that =]

Nonono, I didn't mean to insult you, my bad.

Its just that everybody is commenting on natures as if that was your biggest problem.

night shade is a no-no. use... a STAB move other than nightshade, or give him a punch move.
    *Snorlax lv 41 (Jolly)
    -double-edge
    -rest
    -rollout
    -body slam
give him the berry that lets him wake up immediately, give giga impact somewhere, not recommended, but useful.
    *Charizard lv40 (quiet)
    -slash
    -wing attack
    -swords dance
    -flamethrower
shadow claw better than slash, no-no for swordsdance, aerial ace for wing attack. keep flamethrower.
    *Raikou lv 46 (serious)
    -Thundershock
    -roar
    -quik attack
    -Spark

Take out everything, TM him thunderbolt if its urgent, but he should learn it anyway.
    *Ferligatr lv 47 (quiet)
    -Ice fang
    -crunch
    -water gun
    -slash

Why is feralitatr using watergun at that level? give Hpump. aqua get for slash.
    *Salamance (adamant)
    -fly
    -crunch
    -dragonbreath
    -Zen headbutt

fly is pretty much useless to him, I'd rather use aerial ace, I dont really know about anything else right now, since commenting on movesets is not my strong suit.

take a look at www.serebii.net, you can find out what moves are learned at what lvl.

and dont finalize movesets until pokemon are at least lvl 65-70 because they havent learned all moves yet.

    @Sim
    No offence taken =]

    @Dark Azelf: thx man =D

As ive sorted the whole team out in my previous post, i noticed something. May i suggest Claydol, just a rapid spinner to get rid of stealth rock, because its not pretty when Charizard switches into stealth rock lol

    Claydol@leftovers
    Relaxed Nature
    evs: 252 HP / 114 DEF / 144 SP.Def
    - Ice beam
    - Earthquake
    - Rapid Spin
    - Stealth Rock

With Stealth Rock is active Charizard & Moltres loses %50 of their total heath per switch-in.

    No Romance give fralagater:
    @Leftovers
    DD
    eq
    waterfall
    ice punch.

    That's standard.
