Well that was rude... I don't remember ever showing you any disrespect...

Well first of all, since apparently spoilers don't exist now, I didn't even know Kanto was in the game, and was hoping to find out for myself, but someone sent me a picture of all the gym leaders, which had 16. Great thats ruined, but I did noticed in Sabrina's spot there was a girl who I couldn't for the life of me recognize, I thought it might be a new gym leader, so I was excited about a new character. However someone else sent me an image of her sprite, after I had unwittingly clicked it, he said "it's sabrina's new look. Well fantastic that was ruined. I've also had all the legendaries, all the new areas and the hole pedometer thing ruined. To be completely honest I don't know whats stopping me from just looking up everything. I don't want anyone else to have their game ruined like this.

I apologize for any rudeness, it can sometimes be hard to get a point across tactfully online when it is a bit contentious. Needless to say, I wasn't intending to be rude, but at the same time, I generally do not just comply with people, because for every person who might think this is a spoiler, there are those who would like to have the freedom to talk about it too. I tried to phrase my original post (about the gym leader) in such a way that it hinted at the topic without giving away anything. I didn't say any location was or was not in the game, I didn't post a picture of her, I just mentioned in passing about her new look. I'm sorry if this sounds rude too, but in a remake of a game, it should not be surprising that content that was in the original is remade, updated, or indeed, included.

I respect what you have to say, TIR, but I think in this case the idea of it being a spoiler is going a bit too far. By this same logic posting these Pokesho pictures is a spoiler because I didn't get a chance to find them myself on the website, or in some cases, view the episodes or movies their content is about. Take for instance the new image containing Johto's Pokemon. If I hadn't played the original G/S/C, I might be disappointed because I wasn't aware of those Pokemon. There has to be a limit between spoiling a game for others and restricting the right to talk about it among the wider community.

All that said, I hope that you understand that my right to disagree peacefully is not the same thing as an intention to be rude to you. We both have a right and responsibility to express our opinions. I apologize if I came off as rude or accidently offended you, and I hope you will not let something small like that stop you from continuing to be cordial and friendly with me in the future.

EDIT: I just want to let anyone else who reads this also know that what I say only goes so far. If someone were to post an in-depth plot analysis, a play-by-play of new content, or otherwise detailed descriptions of new information without spoiler tags, I'd very much share TIRs upset.

I hope you guys will understand I am simply stating how I feel, and not hoping to start a fight or cause any community strife. However, maybe it would be a good idea to have a clearly defined policy on what or what is not a spoiler so people don't accidently either offend or take offense by a post containing too much information.

Because I'm of the mind of "Eh, I'm gonna see/play it eventually," spoilers don't bother me much.
And, c'mon. This is Pokémon. And a remake, at that! It's not like we're expecting some mega-epic storyline here. A few new features here and there, but nothing mind-blowing.

we should be able to talk about pokemon with/without spoilers to a certain degree
it is inevitable, but we can try to keep spoilers to a minimum
but sometimes it doesn't matter....
so it is hard to avoid misunderstandings when talking online

Yeah I guess I see. But still, some stuff wasn't changed and if I do say so Sabrina had a drastic change. See also another note for your pokesho pictures, you have acess to them but you choose to look here first, I don't have access to HG/SS so case in point I won't be able to see them for a while. That and what if someone else has seen the picture and doesn't know who it is? Then they come here and also see it...

Edit: To Ruby, games have plots just like movies/novels... If anyone else here is a fan of ace attorney like me they'd be pissed off if someone spoiled a case, also Metal Gear, Persona and Final Fantasy are also known for their story =\

Like I said, it wasn't meant to be sarcasm, which is why I apologized for accidently insulting you.

Beyond that, there is nothing more I can do, I won't respond any more to this particular topic, as I do not wish to further hurt anyone's feelings. We'll just have to agree to disagree, which is perfectly okay, until someone with authority posts a clear outline of what is or isn't a spoiler.

But, now that I understand your point of view, I will attempt to make sure that I do not spoil anything for you. That said, avoid Bulbapedia. They have already updated it with all the HG/SS stuff, so you might be disappointed. The prescence of the information in a public medium such as these forums, Bulbapedia, and even Gamespot previews is why I did not consider it a spoiler. I hope that you can also try to see my point of view in this matter.

And I come here for two main reasons, I like the community, and I find it hard to navigate to the pictures on the Pokesho website. Finding things with others you care about is much better than stumbling through a foreign language website alone :)

It is my sincerest wish that something as trival as a sprite in a video game would not put a rift in that.

Nope, that's not Pokemore's. He posts under the title "Mr. Moa" (if you translate to English), and that is Mr. Jujube. That said, he is definitely doing it in a Pokesho style, and I really love the picture as Sabrina is my favorite :)
