I need help with how a Region Map and Nests are defined...

I have my map, I have my points, I have my Encounters...
But when I load up PokéGear map, my players head is in the top left corner of the picture as opposed to the area I'm at... Now, I'm having a guess that the point is taken from the maps name, instead of the maps id number, is that right? And how would I go about fixing this?

Nests, no matter what Pokémon I am looking at, it always says "Unknown Area", this, I'm assuming will read from encounters.txt, but this is a guess as that's the only place you set where the Pokémon's "Nest" is... Or am I missing something here?

You have to open the Editor.exe, then it chooses SetMetadata, the map, MapPosition, and finally you choose the place in which the city/route/cave/etc.

Every single map needs the metadata MapPosition defined. If you're on a map without it defined, your head will appear in the top left corner of the Town Map.

The nest map looks through encounters.txt and finds all maps that the particular species appears in. It then looks for the MapPosition metadata for each of those maps to find out where on the Town Map they are, and then draws glowing red squares in the appropriate places.

    So yeah. Metadata.

Didn't know about the mapposition within the Editor, I'm so used to doing everything Manually, that I completely missed that! At least that's one thing out the way.

Thanks to both of you. X
