3rd Gen New 3rd Gen. Fully Evolved Solo Run

I started in Firered =) I will choose Caterpie -> Metapod -> Butterfree

Process 1
-Start the game, picked boy and named it Jetz.
-Withdraw Potion from PC.
-Pick Squirtle and named it Swimmer.
-Fought my rival and pwnz him.
-Went to delivered Oak Parcel and received PokeBalls and PokeDex.
-Went to Viridian Forest and caught a Timid Caterpie and named as Cody.
-Trained Cody to lv.10 and beat all the trainers in Viridian Forest.
-Cody is now lv.12 I bring it to beat my rival at route 22.
-Lvled Cody to lv.15 and beat Brock.
-Saved.

When the Caterpie stage are major pain :( with all those tackle , tackle it takes forever ! had to get beat by brock few times in order to kill geodude and get to lv.15 . barely survived the onix's rock tomb tho.

Another quick update

-Grinded Allegra to lvl 20, and she evolved into a Loudred! :]
-Took on Roxanne, which was absolute hell. It took me three tries, and it was a looong battle... I used like 10 potions and 5 super potions. But I finally won! Which was a relief.
-I did all the Team Aqua crap, got the PokeNav, etc. etc. I saved outside Mr. Briney's house and will be setting sail for Dewford later.

Update after having a Lunch break :)

Process 2
-Load the game and start the journey from Pewter City.
-Finish Mt.Moon and now Cody is lv.21.
-Reach Cerulean City.
-Fought Rival and go through Nugget Bridge.
-Beat all the trainers before meeting Bill.
-Help Cody and get the ticket.
-Beat Misty with lv.28 Cody. Was pretty lucky tho, had 2 gust crit :)
-Battle all the way to Vermilion City and get in to S.S Anne.
-Battle all the trainers in S.S Anne and thrash out my Rival.
-Scrub the old man's back and get a Cut HM.
-Caught a Oddish for the HM Cut.
-Beat LT.Surge with Cody's Psybeam easily. Cody is lv.35.
-Saved.

things get pretty simple once after misty. surge is not a problem at all, i 3hko his raichu with psybeam but the shockwave does cause me some damage .

Process 3

-Start off from Vermilion City.
-Beat all trainers in route 9.
-Walk through the Rock Tunnel(it's the most frustrating tunnel ever !)
-Went into the Pokemon Tower and beat that sucker(rival).
-Battle all the trainer in route 8.
-Went to Celadon City and swept Erika with ease. Cody is now lv.44
-Get in Game Corner and found out Rocket's Hideout.
-Beat Giovanni and his gang. Got the Silph Scope of course.
-Got HM Fly from the house in route 16.
-Caught a Dodou for the sake of fly.(Wondering why Butterfree cant learn fly while a wingless Dodou can :\ )
-Fly back to Lavender and move to Pokemon Tower.
-Made Marowak rest in peace and save Mr.Fuji and obtained PokeFlute.
-Use through the Cycling Road and reached Fuchsia
-Beat Koga at lv.51 Cody.
-Got tea for gramps in the Celadon Mansion.
-Gave it to the guard and move to Saffron City.
-Saved.

replace gust with aerial ace cause aerial is a better move than gust and butterfree last learn move silver wind helps me alot. I'm getting to like bugs pokemon :D

Process 4

-Start off my journey at Saffron City.
-Get in Fighting Dojo and psybeam all the way.
-Went in Silph.Co beat Rival and Giovanni.
-Went to challenge Sabrina with lv.59 Cody.
-OHKO Sabrina's entire team.
-Get in Safari Zone to get Gold Teeth and HM Surf
-Gave Gold Teeth to Warden and got HM Strength
-Fly back to Pallet Town and surfed to Cinnabar Island.
-Beat Blake with lv.61 Cody.Sleep Powder sure is handy :D
-Move to One Island and done the savin' the small girl quest.
-Fly back to Viridian and beat the hell out of Giovanni !
-Beat my rival at route 22 again.
-Walkthrough the Victory road. Cody is now lv.72

Battle Summary
Lorelei : Pretty annoying with those Ice Beam/Ice Punch . I lost quite few times tho. Cody had leveled to 75 before I could win her.

Bruno : Now now... Rock types.. Which is another weakness to Cody. Lucky Cody's lvl is pretty overlevel and barely tank the Rock Tomb.

Agatha : Finnaly a easier type, Ghost/Dark. Before this I spent 90k PokeDollar on buying a Shadow Ball TM in the Game Corner. Luckily it does alot damage on them.

Lance : Stupid type, Dragon.. This round I kept spamming sleep powder and full restore ! Pretty lucky that he missed 3 round of Hyper Beam from his gyarados . His Dragonite was the major pain !!

Rival : I saved the game before I fight this bastard. Re load few times due to his Rhydon's Rock Tomb. It give me serious damage. His Venusaur was pretty easy . I had to slept Arcaine everytime he woke up. Almost killed me and barely survived ! Alakazam and Gyarados wasn't giving me alot problem. His Pidgeot was sent first so I just slept him n keep on Psychc .

-Got Treeko as a starter.
-Defeated Rival
-Got lvl. 4 Spheal, named it Clap.
-Trained it a little bit.
-Defeated all the trainers in the first route.
-Spheal got to lvl 10.
-Got to Rustboro city.
-Spheal is lvl 15.
-Caught Zigzagoon for HMs.
-Defeated Roxanne easily.
Current team:
Spheal lvl 17 - Powder Snow, Ice Ball, Water Gun, Encore.
Zigzagoon - Moves not important.
Will probably be playing until Brawly tonight.

-Story of battle with Wattson:
This was one of the gyms I was most nervous of, mainly because of Magneton being difficult to harm very much, but because I was overlevelled I got pretty confident in my abilities. First Wattson sent out Voltorb, it got in a shock wave, but barely damaged my huge HP. I Aurora beamed it and it was OHKO'd. Next was his Electrike, it didn't even get a hit on me. Next came Manectric, this was the difficult Pokémon. It was faster than me and used Thunder Wave. I was kinda annoyed at this I was hoping to outspeed Magneton and I had no Paralyz Heals. I eventually after stalling it out with a few Soda Pops defeated his Manectric. Then Magneton just went down with two water guns.
-Got Treeko out
-Got Strength and taught it to Treeko

Sealeo lvl 37
Aurora Beam
Body Slam
Water Gun
Encore

Still playing now, so there's going to be more to come.

-Defeated all trainers on route 111 and 113
-Sealeo grew to level 40
-Met Lannette in Fallabour Town.

HEY! as soon as i read about this challenge i restarted my emerald run, and tried to gameshark a nidoran(m) on to it, however, i had a bit of problems getting it work, and ended up starting a journey on ruby with a gamesharked nidoran(m) :D!!!

  • anyways, named my character DRUNK (after me :D)
  • and for a starter got treecko! (name: 01)
  • did all the storyline things to get the pookeballs and whatnot...
  • and caught a level 3 nidoran(m)!!! ? (name: KING)
  • headed to rustboro city all the while training KING, and beat roxanne when he was just lv. 16

  • continued on to the storyline thingies, beat team magma member, got letter for steven, cut, and the pokenav...
  • taught cut to 01
  • then i headed to dewford, and destroyed brawly thanks to peck xD

  • in slateport i beat everybody in the beach, and got a dozen soda pops :A... (they should make it so you don't have to buy them one at a time ¬_¬)

  • went up to mt. mortar, and MANHANDLED maxie
  • went down to lavaridge town to beat flannery

Started, chose Mudkip, did stuff, caught some Wingulls. Chose a Calm one. Got to Rustboro, beat Roxanne on first attempt. I was pretty lucky, Water Gun 3HKOd Nosepass, with Potions it took even more hits, but only 1 of the 3 Rock Tombs it fired at Wingull hit - and because of Wingulls non-existant defences and Rock weak left it with 7 HP.But then also I won with my Wingull.
 
I'm not 100 percent yet, but I might be doing this soon. I still need to decide what pokemon I will be using and if I have time.


I'll try to keep you posted as to whats going on.


Edit: 1/20/10 I still don't know because of projects and stuff like that

I finally need to learn how to let Pokemon spawn by hacking, which I only did once in Pearl, but already forgot how it works. And since doing something is the best way to learn it:

For some reason I'm getting wild Sunfloras and not Poochyenas, I must be doing something wrong...
I can finally let spawn Mightyena's now (since syphilis said things from outside kanto cannot evolve and I did not find any national dex codes) and believe it to be or not, but I met a shiny one, despite the only cheat I had activated was the one for Mightyena. No one is going to believe me anyway, so I did not catch it.

Update: Finally caught one (at level 2) with +Attack Nature. That the nature also lowers Speed doesn't matter, I will be overleveled enough anyway. And, honestly, what nature would be cooler on this than brave?


I almost forgot about this, but only almost, so here's my next update: Leveled Mightyena, beat rival, beat Brock. Up to here everything was easy, except for maybe the Weedles in Viridian Forest that kept on poisoning me. Mt. Moon was pretty hard, Zubat's Leech Life could hit Mightyena super-effective. Arrived at Cerulean and immediately challenged Misty. Won after a short but very tough battle with something like 6 HP left. Beat rival, he wasn't much easier because of Sand-Attack. Saved. Mightyena is still the same as before, but now in level 24. Current number of captured Pokemon is 15, and I'm out of money and Pokeballs because of an Ekans that just didn't want to get caught.

More Update: Did Nugget Bridge stuff, got Cut HM at SSAnne. Currently despairing because of Surge's gym puzzle.
