New anime BGM CD

    Not sure how many other people here are going to be interested other than the people who have already told me, but thought I should make a thread anyway ~

    On the 8th September a new CD will be coming out called TV Anime Pocket Monsters Original Soundtrack Best 1997-2010 which will feature TV background music from the original, Advance Generation, and Diamond and Pearl series's. The CD will have 80 tracks (although Amazon says 88) and will be on 2 CDs. It will also include a 16 page booklet and an interview with Shinji Miyazaki (the composer of the BGM for the Pokemon anime).

    This is good because only 2 other CDs related to the TV BGM for Pokemon have been released, Pocket Monsters Anime Sound Collection and Genki!! Ippai!!, and Genki Ippai contained a lot of tracks from the first CD. I hope they don't re-release loads of tracks that have already been released before on this CD, but since it says they're a selection of the best ones, I suppose they're going to include at least a few of the same tracks. Hopefully stuff like the champion themes get released ~
     
    I didn't think that they would release these kinds of things anymore. Well, maybe they'll have proper DVD releases next. :D
     
    I pray the RSE Regi theme and the RSE Team Aqua/Magma battle theme are being done. Those are, IMO, head and shoulders above the rest in terms of great pieces, and I was kinda sad when you deleted them from your YouTube channel, Jorah. =[

    Still a horrible event. I wanted to go listen to some of those unreleased tracks you had clips of yesterday.

    On topic: good, maybe some new stuff will be on there!
     
    Mine came today thanks for FedEx speed delivery, had a quick listen, not sure what to make of it to be honest. All the tracks are from the Game Soundtracks from Red/Green > D/P and they pick the best songs from those games and it's orchastral same as the anime. There are some tracks that have never been released before and then there are others that has been in previous cd's. It's a great collection of the BEST BGM, you may miss some tracks if there not in there but what I have heard so far it's great. Im about to do a youtube video of it now as well.
    And for you people living in the USA, I seen people asking when it's coming out there. IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. End of. lol Just sick of seeing people asking that question.
    The next job I want to do is compare what tracks on here have been on previous cds

    Anyway, since topic is still on track, I don't see the harm in keeping this thread open. Still, remember that only threads exempt from the 30-day revival rule are episode discussion threads. Everything else can just be remade as a new thread if the first one is already past thirty days old since its last post.
     
    I made a list of the tracks on the CD which have never been released before :P 57 of the 88 tracks haven't been released before (as long as I've counted correctly) and 11 are "repeated" remixed tracks

    My favourites are: Route 27, both Champion themes, RBY Gym theme, RBY Trainer Battle remix, and the GSC Rival battle theme. But I love lots of the other new ones, too

    There are also 3 tracks on the RSE side that were NEVER aired in the show. Something tells me they're trying to get rid of all their soundtrack for BW.

    I am loving hearing several of these themes... and its not on iTunes so im really really sad... ;;

    What are these 3 tracks that were never aired?

    And IF track 7 was one of them that you think it was never aired on the series, well it was but if im right never aired on the dub version.

    Im not being a know it all xD Im just curious as I want to learn everything from this OST.

    I just looked through the list and see the ones that were left out and yes I do have them from the past so those tracks listed are the unreleased ones :)

    But there are a few that I have from R/S/E and D/P/Pt that was not on the CD but I can see why as they aint from the games.

    There are some that arent on Jorah's list actually. I found another one with samples of the whole soundtrack.

    Littleroot Town was one of them... I forget the others.

    What tracks are they, just say the track no. it doesnt matter if you dont know what the track is called.
     
    The lack of "Tears, after the cloudy weather" makes this incomplete for me sadly.

    Unless I'm missing it. The it's failure for me.

    This CD only contains the anime's remixes of game music. That's an anime-only piece.
     
    I tripped all over the place when I heard of these two CDs! I'm extremely thrilled they finally compiled CDs of most of the great anime tracks. I was searching for one song from the anime for years, and I actually found it on this soundtrack! Needless to say, I was happy happy happy. <33

    If I had the money, I'd buy both CDs.. maybe someday. D:

    I loved the arranged version of the Eterna Forest music. It's mysterious, peaceful, and haunting at the same time. Good to see (or hear) the RBY champion theme come out too, and also the epic Route 27 theme!
