New event on last day of Ash Hat Pichu

I noticed a new event started today. Double candies, shortened walking distances for buddies and something new, shortened egg hatching distances. I just put a 5km egg in and it says 1.7 for it.

The incubators also say 33x on each one.

Previous eggs I already had in haven't changed.

Edit: Just put a 10km egg in and it's 3.3km. 2km are 0.7km.

They should do the double xp etc. every weekend, now that would be a good idea keep it motivated between events, thoroughly enjoyed that bonus especially with a few different pokemon appearing. Definately not enough of that, there was a sort of cull on the pidgies etc awhile ago this needs to be done again on the sentret etc now, far too many common pokemon spawning and not enough of others, this I really do hate about the game, it gets boring walking around.

I got 7 2km eggs sitting in my bag waiting to be hatched over the week.

Hopefully one will be a Pichu with an Ash hat.

How did everyone go during the event? Anyone level up or do anything cool?? My stardust is like 90k now lol

I dont think double exp should be every weekend... people would play less during the week because of it. Instead I think the 7 day streak should mean more. Spin stops every day for a week? Get a free one use incubator that halves your walking distance and doubles the candy and stardust for that Pokemon. People can save them for 10km eggs but if they can't hoarde them like raids...

I think it would encourage everyone to play daily for that 7 day bonus.

Cool stuff I got from the extra candies are 2 Charizard, my first Dragonite, Kingdra, Ampharos, Ash-Raichu, a whole bunch of crashes, Gengar, Blastoise, Donphan and Pupitar.

Enjoyed that event tremendously I leveled up to 30 was hatched loads of 5 km eggs got nearly 200,000 stardust. i agree something extra during week/daily would be good, as we all know after an event the game gets a bit boring and nothing really good spawning except the usual commons. Its my 7 day strike tomorrow so will do that then cool off again only play if a good raid is going, until the next event.
