Hi, im just about to start a new game with emerald..and i was wondering which is the best pokemon to start with...and which one will be stronger in later life (i.e. evolution)

    thanx :)

I have always prefered the water starter types, so I would advise Swampert although, they're all pretty much identical apart from attacks, but like I said, use Mudkip ;)

Rocket's right. They usually win, and I always thought the fire type starters were weakest. Grass... well, I would call it... neutral. Anyway, the best is water.

From the first Pokemon, it has been like: Water/Grass for people who want a good and easy game, Fire for people who want more sweat. So yeah, if it's your first time, I guess Mudkip or Treeko.

Choose Mudkip, Torchic is weak against the first gym and the sixth and the eighth.
And treeko is weak against Rayquaza.

I recomend treeko it has great speed and is very useful later in the game

I think mudkip is preety good its strong and evolves into to 2 mostly types of pokemon becuase it learns ground types moves and water moves!

eh,i got all 3 my first day.

But i would go with Treecko he is very useful later on in the game.
