    Hi, I'm Pharos and I've been playing Pokemon games since Gen 2/3. I've recently been getting into Pokemon rom hacks. The rom hacks I've played so far and finished are Pokemon Prism and Pokemon Coral. The current Pokemon rom hack I'm playing now is a revision of Pokemon Snakewood.

    It is great to see more long time fans of Pokémon join PokéCommunity! What are your favourite pokémon ?
    I hope you enjoyed playing these ROM hacks! Have you also tried some fan games ?
     
    Likewise, glad to be here! My favorite Pokemon is Darkrai due to its backstory. What's yours? I feel like I can guess it haha. I'm not sure if I played any fan games. What are some that you would recommend?
     
    Thanks and thank you for the compliment as well! My favorite Pokemon games are either Pokemon Gold, Emerald, or Platinum. I think I had the most fun with Platinum back when it first released. Gold was my first so I really enjoyed it since it truly introduced me to what Pokemon is. And Emerald is a gem in my eyes. One of the few Pokemon games that actually got me to choose a starter besides a water type. I also think the idea of having two evil groups instead of 1 was pretty cool throughout my play through. What's your favorite Pokemon game?
     
    Those are all really good choices of favorite game! I've never had the pleasure of playing Emerald,
    but I did manage to get my hands on a copy fairly recently and have been meaning to give it a go when I get a few other games in my backlog done.
    Platinum is a masterpiece of difficulty that has sadly never quite been reached since. (though I'd argue Black got close, from my own experience at least)
    I've never played classic Gold either, but I have played Crystal and I can easily say that it was my second favorite pokemon game I've played.

    My favorite game is Shield. It just really stuck with me for some reason.

    The Nightmare pokémon sure is one of a kind!
    Gardevoir is actually my second favourite pokémon. My (all times) number one favourite is Charizard, since I played Pokémon Red! ^^
    I can recommend Solar Light / Lunar Dark, Omicron / Zeta, Uranium (unfinished but a great run to the League), and, if you are into challenge and hard puzzles, Reborn! Oh, I was about to forget my favourite fan game, Insurgence!

    Thanks! Yea Crystal is pretty similar to Gold I'd say. I also forgot to mention that I really enjoyed playing HeartGold as well. Played it when it released and recently as well and both times were perfect. I've played Sword and that game definitely has a lot of content for a Pokemon game. I believe it was the first somewhat open world new gen Pokemon game and the first new gen Pokemon game on the Switch. Good choice for a favorite game for sure.

    Hey!
    Yea I've played a few of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Some that come to mind are Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, and Explorers of Sky. And I know you didn't ask but my favorite Eevee evolution is Espeon. In my eyes it resembles a green alien cat haha.

    Indeed it is. Charizard, that's a great favorite mon to have. I'm actually in the middle of drawing a shiny Charizard. All I need to do is find some time to add color and then it'll be done. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll be sure to check them after I finish Snakewood or in the near future.
