I spent alot of time trying to adapt to R/S Netbattle since V0.9.3 came out. It took a while, and testing alot of Pokemon, but I finally found a team that works. I wanna get some suggestion and whatnot.
Kyogre @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 77 HP / 196 Spd / 170 SAtk / 67 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Thunder
- Water Spout
Omg! An 00ber! But seriously, this Kyogre was set up to do as much damage in one shot as possible, and set up Rain Dance for my Kingdra. I use it to knock out annoying Pokemon that my team can't do on its own, such as Blissey. And it deals with other legends aswell, it lacks physical Def, so I keep it away from stuff with high Atk.
Ariados (F) @ Quick Claw
Trait: Insomnia
EVs: 85 HP / 255 Atk / 85 Def / 85 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Night Shade
- Signal Beam
- Sludge Bomb
Alot of people seem to have teams with Pokemon like Smeargle, Breelom and sometimes Jumpluff. There Spore/Sleep Poweder get annoying, especially when you jump into battle a battle with no Sleep Clause. Ariados garantees they don't put anything to sleep and just get knock out fast.
Magneton @ Magnet
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 255 Spd / 255 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Lock-On
- Metal Sound
- Supersonic
- Thunder
I added Magneton about 2 days ago, I wanted to fully take advantage of Rain Dance and OHKO the OU Skarmory. I really need some help with it because its moves are so limited. I maxed out its Speed and Sp.Atk, and dropped everything esle, since its already very poor.
Kingdra (F) @ Petaya Berry
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 79 HP / 54 Def / 105 Spd / 193 SAtk / 79 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Surf
Like Magneton, Kingdra takes full advantage of the free Rain Dance. The moves are pretty basic, and I gave it a Petaya Berry to get a boost as it about to faint. It sweeps alot of Pokemon and KO's other dragons or D-Dancers before they can start to power up.
Exeggutor (F) @ Quick Claw
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 85 HP / 77 Def / 184 SAtk / 164 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Explosion
- Giga Drain
- Psychic
- Stun Spore
Since I had Kyogre I didn't bother trying the Sunny Beam + HP Fire Exeggutor. People seem to thing its a good combo, but stuff Like Typlosion and Houndoom will literally destroy it with one attack. So I decided to run a Stab type Exeggutor. Quick Claw is optional, I only gave it that because it was so slow. Explosion is there to trick Blissey users into thinking its all Sp.Atk's, or to whipe out annoyers.
Steelix (F) @ Quick Claw
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 85 HP / 255 Atk / 79 Def / 91 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Roar
- Rock Slide
This Steelix is pretty basic. Uses to send Ninjask packing or any other physical status boosters, I gave it Quick Claw to add a bit of luck when I'm using it. It doesn't always work, but it pays off when it does. I can also use Steelix to knock out stuff like Metagross or Tyranitar, since its Atk + Stab rips off atleast 60 - 75% of there HP.
