Design Notes:
Tanichi/Daycoon is a pokémon with no fixed type, and as such is listed in the pokédex as ???-type. It is a gimmick pokémon along the lines of Kecleon and Castform, who can change types and forms. Tanichi/Daycoon changes based on the calendar day. In Japanese, each day corresponds with some sort of elemental kanji. Tanich/Daycoon takes its type from that kanji. When it changes, the tail-rings, belly fur, and eye markings will change color to reflect its new type (the fur may change color too, but I have to play around a bit first). Here is the list of the Japanese kanji, its meaning, the day it corresponds to, the type that Tanichi/Daycoon will take, and the color of the markings on the tail, belly, and eyes.

I am having a bit of trouble with naming it, as you can see by the list of names in the sketch. Its design is based off of the Tanuki (remember the suit in Mario 3?), which, in Japanese mythology, is supposed to have some shape-shifting powers. The tanuki is oftenly mis-labeled as a raccoon in English, but they are very close in appearance, and I incorporated a raccoon's tail into the design in order to enhance the effect of the type change. These are the four I came up with:
Tanichi - portmanteau of tanuki and nichi, the Japanese word for "day"
Daycoon - portmanteau of day and raccoon.
Danuki - portmanteau of day and tanuki
Bondia - a Portuguese phrase meaning "good day" (used as a greeting)
What do you think?

They're mainly Jellyfish (They're the "Jellyfish Pokémon"), even if they're influenced slightly by the latter two. They could be Jellyfish, Octopus, or squid. =/
