I've been playing Pokemon since I borrowed a friend's Gameboy Color and Pokemon Blue in elementary school. I was hooked instantly! I prefer the older generations; mainly anything that was made for Gameboy Advance and before. I've played the new ones but Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn are my true "homes!"

Hiya there! Welcome in PC blltdgr. Do you have a preference about a nickname or so? It is a bit hard to say xD
Anyway! I'm glad to see that you have the same opinion as me. Kanto, Johto and Hoenn are my true homes too!
There is something mystical, even nostalgic ... I can not explain!
What is your preferer version so far? Mine is Crystal. Colors and beautiful music at the time it was created.

I see you like the older generations. So do I, although I do prefer the newer generations more, since B/W & B/W2 was released. Have you tried the generations I mentioned yet? If you haven't, you certainly must give them a go! They have wonderful storylines and great new Pokemon. I promise you won't regret it! :D Since you like the older generations, there are sections here specifically for the older generations in where you can discuss your interests with lots of like-minded people.
I'm sure you'll be able to fit in perfectly well here - everyone has one thing in common: They Love Pokemon! <3 Don't be afraid to make some new friends, this is one friendly community. Like a lot of us who join PC, we've been playing Pokémon for years! So you'll fit right in with the crowd. I love Hoenn myself, the new regions aren't too bad but I absolutely love Hoenn. If it was a real place I'd love to call it home too!

I started with Blue myself, the older generations were and still are extremely addicting regardless of how much time has passed. There are plenty of fans around here, be it people who prefer the older gens or those who have only played the most recent ones, so of course you'll fit in just fine. :D Seems like you'd enjoy the earlier Pokemon generation discussions, though they're one of the many places here on the forum so there are plenty of other sections to get involved in. Up to you!
Hoenn is one of my favorites too, next to Unova and Johto. Ruby and Sapphire ate up so much of my time when I was a kid and I remember being so excited for it to release in the US. Was so anxious that I'd check the official Pokemon website every day for updates. And then later down the road I found out about Serebii. XD;

Hi Blltdgr, and welcome!
I have been into Pokemon for almost as long as you, but I started with the anime and then moved to playing the games. Unlike you, I prefer the newer generations cos I liked the changes they introduced and the newer Pokemon have awesome designs.
