    Hey hey! I've never been a part of anything like this before, but I thought I'd give it a shot since I don't really have many people to discuss pokemon with in real life.
    You can call me Phish. I've been playing pokemon since Blue version. I took a pretty long break for a while though. I stopped playing after sapphire and then started again at XY. Since then I've gone back and played many of the ones I missed. I'm currently playing through Fire Red and the nostalgia is so intense, man.
    I do a little bit of competitive play, but I'm nothing fantastic. I also play the online tcg every once in a while too. I mostly like collecting pokemon (both in game and cards).

    Yaaas a lot of people came back after a long break thanks to the awesomeness of X/Y and OR/AS. Good to hear you're still going strong as a fan now all these years later!     Archy, I don't know if I really have a favorite tier. I mostly play in OU, so I guess it would have to be that one. I've always wanted to get into little cup though. I really love playing the randomized battles on showdown.

    That's quite the gap: you missed the fourth gen! If you think FR/LG is nostalgic, just wait until you get to HG/SS! There is a lot to be said for DPPt as well, in my opinion; they introduced so many awesome new Pokemon with the fourth gen, and things got a lot more interesting with the physical/special move split too. I get where you're coming from, though - I had a bit of a waning interest in Pokemon myself around the third gen, and the fifth almost put me off the franchise entirely. But it's one of those enduring things that keeps coming back to you, right? I hope you enjoy your soujourn through the DS titles! :3

    I'll have to play through Pearl next, then! I found one at a pawn shop a few months ago. I haven't had a chance to start it, but now I definitely will play that one next.

    I do have one question: Do you typically get notified when people reply to your posts? Or when do you get those? I haven't received any yet. I've just been manually checking back on things I've commented on.
