I just wanted to take the time to stop in and say a few words and greet people after signing up on this forum. Give you alittle history about me for starters...
Well, it all started with Tam, A vietnamese friend of mine that traveled alot back and forth from the USA. He came back to the USA after seeing his family in Tokyo one time and showed me a game called pocket monsters. I thought it was kinda cool, although I had no idea what was going on, he had to tell me what it was saying and stuff, etc, etc.. From his back and forth trips he soon grabbed me the other version (blue) for me to play. I played it a few, mostly only when he was around so I could understand what was going on. Then it came out in the USA, we grabbed the same copies he had in japanese and I was hooked the rest is pretty much history...although I never watched the show much.
Other than I got into the trading card game tournaments and leagues and such, heavily. I became the local books-a-million league runner until the love for the game faded around 2003 after completing Rudy and Shappire. I havn't touched any new pkmn games since then, but since I got a Nintendo DS, I think I might give Diamond or Pearl a go. Hopefully try and relight that "wow so cool!" kid feeling I had from it back in 1996.
Anyways, nice to meet all and hope to meet some cool people here and get caught up on what's going on in the pkmn world! Oh and P.S.... No poking fun at the old guy.
