Hey, I posted in the New Users, but I play Pearl on the DS so I saw it fitting to post here as well. I have a few questions...
What's the whole friend ID thing for WiFi and all that? And how can I get Mew and Cydnaquil (if possible) ?

I haven't played since Gold and Silver, so please forgive me for being noob. I only have 5 badges on pearl atm lol.

FC=Friend Code which is needed by both sides when trading online.
You can find yours on your pal pad.

You can't get Mew and Cyndaquil without trading someone else though :(
But considering everyone has one (I myself am missing the Big Three to complete my dex) You could probably get one around cheep.

Everything you need to know is honestly in the instructions booklet, anything that's not there is extra that you learn here, (like EV training)

On a side note, I'm glad I saw your profile, I'm planning to join the U.S. Marines, DEP program. I have so many questions to ask xD hopefully, we can exchange noted info lol

I'm totally on the same boat as you in terms of who I am outside of the gaming world.. rofl.

if you want to do Sandstorm.. that would be vicious... reason I didn't reccomend it is because I'm not to sure how you feel about sand anymore. I have a friend in the Air Force that was stationed in Afghanistan for awhile and said he doesn't want to see sand for at least a year... lol.

check out the strategies and movesets section of the forum and search SANDSTORM... a handful of people have been working on promising Sandstorm teams as it is.. lol.

Will do man, i'm usually an MSN user, but for some reason it's not working so i'm on Yahoo, but i'll set up AIM, won't hurt. I need to head off too, work in the morning. You can get Mew from Nintendo Events or Faraway Island(Japanese).
You can get Cyndaquil in Emerald after completing your Hoenn Pokedex, or you can win one in Colloseum.

Do some research before stating facts like those. =D

Yeah, but the topic creator hasn't played the 3rd gen and events for Mew aren't coming out too soon. So trading is his only option. Common sense instead of facts was needed here. -.-

Well if you need any help with wifi, I could help you out sometime. It's a real fun feature so you need to get a wireless router or the Nintendo Wifi USB adapter thingy if you haven't done so already. Or stop by a wifi hotspot to connect. :3

If you wanted to ask about Mew or Cyndaquil, you could have checked the Pokémon Location List stuck at the top of the forum. For Wi-Fi trouble, you can check the FAQ (there's basic information about Friend Codes) or ask in the Computer/Technology Discussion forum. If you want to trade them, you can go the Trades forum.
