New trainer to the competitive scene

Hey all - got reintroduced to Pokémon last summer thanks to all my friends getting into Pokémon go and got super pumped for Pokémon sun and moon while replaying my copy of y. I learned about breeding and filling up the pokedex but never tried competitive battling.

Cut to today - I'm 16 and 5 in the battle of alola and enjoying my time learning all about competitive battling. I started searching for a good community to call home when I came across this one and its really solid news articles!

I'm hoping to find folks of a similar mindset who just love Pokémon!

I'm an older guy who works in the tech industry, married to a photographer who doesn't get my poke obsession (though she supports it) and spend most of my free time with my dogs (Charlie and Prince).

I love mask Pokémon so the tapus are among my favorites and I really like wishiwashi for the whole big monster in a small package thing. Lately, (no shocker here) I've had a blast with alolan ninetails!

Playing loads of Pokémon sun - but willing to trade and have fun with battles once the competition is over XD

Glad you're having fun with SuMo so far. One of my favorite Pokémon games too and I've played them all since I was a kid. PC is a nice place to talk pretty much anything, tech included. See you!
