hey everyone! im new to this forum, ive been playing pokemon ever since i can remember, i started with pokemon fire red :) im very interested in rom hacking im a 16 year old with above average computer skills, with alot of spare time and am very adaptable :) a mentor would be brilliant so would the best tutorials for beginners *nods* , any pointers are very appreciated with anything around this forum :) i love dragon type pokemon too

advance map saves tilesets as .bvd files, which are unopenable for me, any solutions ? thanks :)

does anybody have experience in tileset inserting / replacing ? advance map is saving tilesets as .bvd which i cannot open in paint or anything. any help is appreciated :) thanks.

Hi there Ryo. =)) Welcome to the world of PC! Good to meet you.

Emulation is the best section to go to regarding all things hacking, including mapping, scripting, tilesets, and all that jazz. You can use the Simple Questions Thread at the top of the board to ask most things but if your issues are scripting-related you'd ask in the Scripting Help Thread. Be sure to check out the Tutorials subforum for several guides on inserting tilesets as well.

Wish I could help you further but I really don't have any knowledge in hacking at all, haha. For next time remember to keep your questions regarding hacks in the Emulation board as that's where the right people would see it, meaning you'd get a faster reply.
